We stayed at l'Acacia and loved it, the accommodation was immaculate and well suited to our family of two adults and two older teenage boys. Jackie and Jerry are a fountain of knowledge regarding things to do in the area and perfect hosts. Vallouise offers a great range of activities, we did many lovely walks, several via ferratas and even paragliding where we landed within 100 metres of the front door. Wonderful!

We stayed two weeks in August and had the most fabulous weather in Mimosa apartment about a mile out of the village. A track by the river led down to Vallouise and we ran down every morning to buy fresh bread and croissants for breakfast. Vallouise and its environs is the adventurer's playground. So much running, walking, climbing, water sports in every direction. Swimming opportunities abound. There was an open air pool in the next village 10 minutes walk away up the path by the river and there are nearby lakes one with a Blue Flag beach. Jackie and Gerry are so attentive. They have put together this brilliant file of information and even had a laminated map (1:25000) of excellent standard for us to use. They are wonderful hosts. This is the perfect place for a summer holiday. Loads to do if you want to do, but equally if you want to just sit and read and wander, all with perfect blue hot daily skies in a beautiful place full of flower tubs and boxes and hanging baskets, tremendous mountains, forests with everything else France offers.

Yet another fabulous stay in Vallouise. Chalet Chabrand is everything you could ask for and has everything you need. This was our fourth stay using Alpbase and the owners Jackie and Jerry are excellent hosts and their knowledge of the area is invaluable. Would highly recommend Alpbase to others and would not hesitate in using them again. Thank you Jackie and Jerry.

What a fantastic service, clean and well apppointed apartments and Jerry and Jackie are so helpful and knowledgeable about the area....
Whether for biking, climbing, kayaking or walking this area has it all with good weather.
I'd wholeheartedly recommend a.visit...

Excellent! Just perfect. Chalet is amazing. Its an award winning eco chalet and we have been staying here every year for 9 years now.
Jackie and Jerry are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble.
Amazing location! So much to do and pristine wilderness write at your back door.
Keep up the good work!
