This nasty gay couple turned us away and then lied repeatedly to our solicitor about why they did that .He said I did not want to stay because they were gay. he said I struggled with the stairs ,I did not set foot in the house besides I booked a ground floor room .I can assure you I have no problems with gay people but I do feel because I was not gay they did not like me being there. Recently he has posted on trip advisor saying we repeatedly say about the other hotels we have used , that the beds are sturdy lies, feel free to look at my reviews you will see I never said that, this man could not tell the truth if he tried. Avoid this place unless you also would like your holiday spoiled like we did.

We stopped a January night at Appleton's B&B en route back home to Toulouse and we are sad we've not discovered this gem sooner. Edward and Malcolm are delightful hosts, as too is Leo the dog, who our slightly precocious 2 year old is still talking about. When we arrived, we were well looked after with a lovely cup of tea in front of the log burner. Supper involved delicious home grown produce, home cooking, wine and conversation. Likewise the home-laid eggs for breakfast were great. The rooms were clean and cosy and the location peaceful. We continued our journey refreshed and content, and look forward to attempting to grow our own perpetual spinach! Thank you Edward and Malcolm, we hope to pass by again.

We stayed at Appletons enroute to the South and rebooked for the return trip after such a pleasant time. As a family with 2 young children it is always a relief to find somewhere with such beautiful secure surroundings for the children to roam and adventure, while we enjoyed drinks and relaxation after a long journey.
The food is of a high standard and plentiful with fresh veg from the impressive gardens. Great fun for the children to wander and snack on a variety of fresh berries.
The rooms were a good size and well thought out with tasteful decoration.
Most importantly we found the hosts Malcolm and Edward to be warm and welcoming we'll be back!

From the moment we arrived we felt at home and relaxed and for the rest of the holiday we where treated to good food,drink and great company.

We stopped at Appleton Farmhouse on our way to the south of France. The owners made us feel right at home. Great garden with a pool to cool down in and the room was nice a very clean. The food was organic and plentiful. I'd absolutely stay here again.
