My family & I had a divine stay here. The room is clean, spacious and comfortable with a nice view of the two rivers. The guys prepared such wonderful meals despite the late hours we caused. The Beef Tartar was prepared in such a hygienic and delicious manner that my husband did not get sick. I would highly recommend a stay and a dinner her to anyone passing by.

Propre !

Deep in the Pyrenees, this delightful 'auberge' that is in a hamlet at the confluence of the Alet and Arlene rivers a few kms South of Seix, is all you could ask for and more.
I had found it through a Google Maps search. I walked in late in the afternoon, having tried to call three times to check availability - there is a provision to leave a number for them you call back, but I was roaming on an Aussie mobile! - and was greeted warmly by Philip.
The room was in the attic, simple but with all the necessities.
The atmosphere in the whole place was relaxed and welcoming and friendly.
They have a good reputation for their food, and it is well deserved. Robert served most attentively at dinner for the hotel guests; note that the restaurant is not always open to the public.
The meal was delicious, all freshly prepared from local ingredients with a distinctly Ariegeois flavour.
The bed was very comfortable and in the morning the breakfast was more than adequate; fresh coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice, an assortment of breads, croissants and the like, and fruit. I am certain that had I wanted something cooked the request would have been accommodated.

All in all a gem of a find. I would certainly recommend it to anyone within the area.
Probably deserving of a Michelin like "vaut le detour".
Thanks guys. A lovely stay.

Absolutely fantastic! Loved this place. Robert and Phillip are fantastic hosts and their skill sets complement each other. The food is excellent and the wine is perfectly matched to your meals. We went there with our two little boys and were expecting things to be a little difficult for our young family but our hosts were always accommodating, thinking ahead and willing to oblige anything we asked for. The area itself is stunning with the river right out the back and scenery on the many drives we took was amazing but coming back to our little haven on the two rivers was always something to look forward to. We will be back in a few years to see what Robert and Phillip have done with the place. Thanks guys and all the best.
