After almost 20 years in France, and horrible experiences with several banks, I am happy to say that I finally found a bank with good customer service and professional employees. This bank specializes in working with businesses, but they also cater to individuals as well. The fees are a little lower (or comparable) to the other standard banks, but the service you get in return is far better. The bank counselors speak several languages (italian, english, russian), and respond promptly to email. The employees are permanent, and don't change from branch to branch every 6 months like other banks. Personally, I found my discussions with the employees there to be very helpful, from both simple to complex projects. The only negative points are that the internet services are just "ok" (they appear to be using the same system as the Caisse d'Epargne), there are only about 50 branches in France, and they are not associated with any foreign banks that might waive ATM withdrawal fees.
