The team at Blue Marble are great. They came thru for us with a last minute booking with excellent bikes for us to rent for a week for our own self guided tour of Normandy. The bikes were in great shape. They provided all the equipment needed from the bikes, to pump and repair kit to panniers and front basket. They also stored our bags while we were on tour. Upon return, they took great care of us as well, providing excellent local restaurant tips, and train tickets to catch the train to the airport (with detailed directions to train station and to the train platform). Oh, they even suggested taking our picture before heading out on tour. This is a small business, very friendly and very professional. I highly recommend hiring them for any tour needs.

Just stayed here last week in "Citron" with my husband. We stayed in the apartment just above the office and it was cute, adorable, and cozy. I kept on taking pictures of the old locks on the doors and windows. The staff at Blue Marble were so very friendly and helpful. The metro was extremely convenient, there being something like 4 metro stops within a few short blocks of the apartment. The area around the apartment, the streets of Rue Dussoubs, Rue Montegueril, and Rue Tiquetonne, is ideally Parisian with its little shops like Royal Cheese and Episode, the restaurants like the Les Trois Cochons (The Three Pigs) being very atmospheric and charming, and the market street of Rue Montegueril is just wonderful with all its chocolatiers, patisseries, cafes, fishmonger, butchers, and flower shops. If you want to go a little more inexpensive (like we did), it's just a short walk down the Rue St. Denis (which is not dangerous or scary for all that it's traditionally a red light district) and you can sample all the crepes, kebabs, and pizzas. Just a short walk down is also this large shopping area, the Forum at Les Halles. Another short walk would also be the Louvre. There is graffiti, trash (despite the city placed trash "bins" every 50 feet), and homeless (with a pet) everywhere, but the city is so beautiful that these things only add depth to the beauty, and a sense of the edgy urban life, yet lovely and charming at the same time. The whole experience was simply amazing, I really felt like a Parisian my whole time there. On the last day, multiple people asked me for directions, so I guess just the easy-going, life-loving atmosphere of Paris enchanted us and we easily blended in.

In all, Blue Marble provided not only excellent lodging, but a foundation to build many memories on. They provided great insight and a lot of mirth and cheer during our conversations (ask about the broken mirror if you want a good laugh!), which is something difficult to find.

Blue Marble Travel provides guided cycle touring trips as well as rents out their touring bikes. This was the only place that I found in Paris that actually rented touring bikes for multiple day self-guided trips. We were able to rent rear sachouces (paniers) so we didn't have to bring them with us to Europe. We took the bikes on a nine-day tour of hilly Languedoc and they were perfect and without incident. The staff was very helpful both online and in person. The rental prices are very reasonable.

Blue Marble also specializes in bicycle tours around France, and although we didn't have time to join in, the offer was open. One afternoon we ran into some of the bicycle patrons, and they were so enthusiastic about the whole venture we decided we'd have to take one during our next trip.

My father and I stayed at Blue Marble in the Fall of 2015. I booked the room from AirBnb, but during travel back to the states I missed the deadline for an official review, and feel they need to be commended for providing such a fun (and colorful) trip.

We rented a room through Blue Marble right in the heart of central Paris. You honestly couldn't find a better location. The building itself had a great deal of colorful history, and was cosy; perfect for 1-2 people. Aside from the accommodations, the staff at Blue Marble were incredibly patient and helpful, offering suggestions for everything from food to history. One prime example of the unique opportunities suggested by Nicolas and his crew was walking through the Court of Miracles (which was written about in the Hunchback of Notre Dame) - although it has now been mostly built over, it was fun to see and memorable. The whole staff was wondering in making such suggestions.
