Beautiful building, a must see in that respect. Food is very traditional and hearty. Service a little stiff and formal.

Very cool restaurant, popular with the local population. Good food and every 10 minutes the lights dims, happy birthday is sung and everybody claps

Worth the detour if in Lyon.

For the mains I had the onion soup, which was perfect and a very generous portion, while my partner had the sea bass over spinach in canelloni shells with a champagne sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was mouthwatering. We were still talking about this fish days later, it was that good.

The dessert was nice, nothing special, frozen nougat in a berry couli.
The prices here match their reputation, so it was not cheap but for the quality of the food it's reasonable.

4/5 for the ambient. It's a big American style restaurant. Very nice interior.
2.5/5 for the food. Quite filling portions. But the quality of the food still have rooms for improvement, definitely not the best in Lyon.
3.5/5 for the service. Friendly waiter. French menu with English translation. They also have menu with pictures for foreigners.

I started with a plate of a half dozen oysters, which were probably the best I've ever had. My partner had the pate en crute which was very good too.

Good food, friendly and well prepared staff. The restaurant atmosphere is extremely joyful and the main room, in art deco, is rather charming.

Excellent selection of dishes. Restricted choices for vegetarians. Beautiful interior. Very friendly and professional staff. Not expensive. Historical place. Lively atmosphere.

The food is hit or miss. Duck was good but steak was just okay. Service is hit or miss but the menu is in English and French. Incomplete parties won't be seated and the whole restaurant sang happy birthday 5-6 times during the course of our meal-which got annoying. Parking building is close by.

A meal at Brasserie George is much more than just food, it's an experience. As soon as you walk through the large double doors it's like you're transported back in time to an old time world of elegance.

The service was rather slow in the beginning, it took as almost thirty minutes till we could place an order, but the food was worth the wait.

Tourists and local mingle in a space with spectacularly high ceilings, served by swift and friendly staff.

Good place, quick service, high quality food, fair price compared to quality

We went for a duck foie gras starter, but the star of the show was the Steak Tartare "préparé à table devant vous". Meaning he came with two raw chunks of minced meat, and prepared them expertly to our liking right there and then.

The restaurant is one huge room, feels almost like a wedding hall, and this vast space was completely full by dinner time, so make sure you arrive early or make reservations.

A genuine brasserie, you can only order the beers brewed on site (the saison went down a dream), and find plenty of French and Lyonnais classics on the menu.
