Great site fantastic location.

That day we packed up our tent and left the campsite... all because we told the chef we didn't like the lasagna. This left a sad, sad mark on our vacation.

Perfect!

The next day we came back to the owner to talk to him about what happened the day before. I told the owner I am a very sensitive man and I didn't sleep well because of what happened. We tried to talk to him again and try to explain ourselves because we thought he had misinterpreted us (we thought he might have thought we told the chef his cooking was unprofessional). The owner didn't even let us finish talking and acted childishly stubborn. He made up his mind, he wanted us to leave immediately.

The next day we went back and ordered two pizza's. The chef told us they were no good because they were "from the supermarket" and we wouldn't like them. I thought he was joking. He did sell me some drinks. Only after drinking my beer I noticed that he didn't charge me for the pizza's I ordered and he didn't actually intend to make my pizza's. I talked to the chef and told him again that I was sorry that I might have hurt his feelings the day before but also that I thought that not wanting to sell us any pizza that day was "unprofessional". At that point the owner of the camping came storming out of his house. He apparently was listening to our conversation. He shouted that we had disrespected his employee two days in a row and this was enough. We had to leave the campsite the next day. Because the infuriated state of the owner it was not possible to reason with him at that moment.

After two nights my pregnant wife and I were not welcome anymore on this camping and were told to leave. I have never been told to leave from somewhere ever! This is what happened:

Small camping with access to a PUBLIC beach. Not all places are completely horizontal.

The camping site is comfortable. Friendly staff. Only disadvantage is too closed to the road, bit nosy from the cars.

At first I think this is not the place to tell bad things about campingowners but just give a verdict about the campsite. I witnessed the things Sjors Miltenburg told about and what he said is not quite correct.
I am sure there was a lot of misunderstandig because of a problem with the language and also payments for the food and interference with the personel on the campsite. The owner of the camping is very proud of his personel and he don not like to get them offended by guests.
Anyway, we join the campsite since 2005 with a lot of pleasure, at the first place because of the hospitality of the family Loyet. If you don not like a very luxury campsite with a pool, bars, disco's and so on, you are on the right place on Au Coeur du Lac. In the evening at 23:00 everything is quiet so most of the time you have a good night rest. The gates are closed and guarded during a large time of the night, very save.
In the snack you can order simple food like pizza, lasagna and tartiflette de savoye and drinks. All is made bij the cook or even the campingowner. Once you ate the tartiflette you want more. Above all, all the food and vegetables are fresh and mostly from local farmers.
The places on the site are in different sizes and a lot of places has a nice view on the lake. The toilets are cleaned twice a day, they are not very luxury but whatever, you are on holiday and you do not have to pay for it.
Also for kids the campsite is very friendly.
With maximum 100 places you get to know each other pretty soon so people knows where the kids belong. In highseason there are activities organised for kids and parents with mostly every week a concert at the chapiteau.
Because we are satisfied with simple things at our holiday this camping is the best!!!

Very nice, very friendly, view of lake, right on footpath round lake and dog friendly.

The first night we went to the camping take-away restaurant where they were making fresh pizza's. We also saw a foto of fresh made lasagna. We both ordered lasagna. We ate the lasagna but thought it tasted like a supermarket lasagna you put in a microwave. We respectfully waited until other customers were gone until we confronted the "chef" about this. He told us he respected our opinions and we didn't have to pay. He also told us he did actually make the lasagna himself, after which we apologized and told him we would come back the next day to try his pizza.
