Great place after season. Owner is super friendly and facilities are very clean.

Its ok

Two suggestions:
- Please keep the prices on the website updated.
- The WiFi had some problems, maybe find a local tech guy. The ticket system also seems outdated, there are easier solutions with credit card payment.

I'm a native german speaker but I'm writing this in english for everyone to understand - except for the French maybe ;). Just kidding, actually at the reception everyone speaks good english.
We stayed here for 40 days in 2017. We live in the city in Germany, thus we wanted a natural campsite so our kids could play in the nature. The place was perfect, we stayed in the shade under eucalyptus trees with 30m distance to the beach. All the places are spacious and there's power available if required. Compared to other camp sites the power worked very well here. We could use our water heater, our fridge (which you can also rent here) and our induction cooking at the same time without any problems. The water from the taps and in the showers is drinking water, we all drank it for the whole stay. The water in the toilets, the beach shower and the garden hoses comes from a lake nearby (filtered) which is a very good idea regarding the dryness of the region. When we arrived in August it hadn't been raining since April. The lake water smells like lake water does.
We didn't see any rain in August, every day was sunny with max temperatures between 30 and 40 degrees. The nights were between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. In September we had two days with some clouds and rain, also more wind. Most days were still beautiful though. The beach was pristine the first couple weeks. It was never crowded and if people leave stuff lying around, it's picked up in the evening or morning. At some point due to a change of wind a lot of sea tang was washed up but it's not a big deal.
Every morning baguettes and other goods from a nearby bakery is sold at the camp site from a van for very reasonable prices. Baguettes are 1 euro (and everything else also except for the fancy stuff).
There is also a snack bar / restaurant on site selling food during lunchtime and evenings. It's ok, if one is too lazy too cook.
A supermarket is in walking distance roughly 800m away. (Prices are OK for an island, we were only shocked when buying nappies and baby food. Bring from home if you can!)
The facilities are kept neat and clean, the view over the Mediterranean Sea while doing the dishes is amazing. The showers are free, the water pressure is ok. Sometimes when a shower wasn't used right before the temperature was not stabile for the first 1-2 minutes, after that it was nice and warm. If you have little kids, be aware of that.
There are a lot of beautiful tree carvings made by a talented guest. All guests we met were very kind, it's a great small community. We thought we were already staying long but there are people here for multiple month - also a lot of guests come every year.
Many other campsites have big pools or playgrounds, which you won't find here. Camping Calamar was founded 54 years ago by the german Alpenclub and it stayed true to its soul. It was sold 28 years ago and has since been maintained with heart by Camille and Yves. We enjoyed our stay very much and if we'll be traveling to corsica again, camping Calamar will be on the top of our of places to stay!!

Super entspannter Campingplatz, sehr netter Chef. Plätze unter Eucalyptus- und Olivenbäumen, gepflegte Sanitäranlagen, Spülplätze mit Meerblick und direkter Zugang zum Strand.

Nice shade and beach, another sanitary facility would be nice.

Sehr gepflegte Anlage, morgens kommt der Bäcker. Bar vorhanden. Sauberer Strand.

Great places directly at the sea, nice team and good connection to other cities
