Such a lovely campsite, spacious plots in the shade of the trees. Clean modern facilities. Very friendly staff who also speak excellent English. Highly recommended

Three generations of the owners are your hospital hosts. They make you feel welcome and at home. In the little shop they sell their own top quality homemade products. You are free to choose the place you like under or beside the mirabel trees in the hillside orchard. From the higher places you enjoy a beautiful view over the valley of the Cotes. A place to return to.

Wonderful views from this very peaceful campsite. Children loved the play area. Facilities were excellent and very clean although sometimes there was a bit of a queue. We had a very friendly welcome from the French owner, who showed us around and helped us choose a pitch. He continued to be very helpful, and always friendly, during our time there. Some great hikes from the campsite into the woods and we liked exploring the area. Would definitely recommend for anyone who likes peaceful campsites.

The German guy who runs this place is crazy. In 6 weeks touring France we have never experienced such rude, disrespectful treatment. The sign clearly states 'find your own pitch' (there are no marked places or numbers..just a field) which we did but had to move as was too sloping. He then comes over (after having watched us walking around looking for something flat) really aggressive and accuses us of being disrespectful by moving, threatens my husband and when we say we will leave he keeps shouting and at us that we 'break the rules!'..he stood in front of the van so we couldn't leave! Regardless of whether we 'broke' his rules I can't comprehend the level of aggression shown by this man.

Ce camping est une agréable surprise.
Niché au fond du village de Saint Maurice sous les côtes en pleine nature, il accueillera les campeurs adeptes de calme et d'authenticité.
Les emplacements sont spacieux et personne n'est accolé à son voisin. Les sanitaires simples sont propres et bien entretenus.Une petite mais néanmoins agréable terrasse vous permet de prendre à votre aise le déjeuner, un pique nique ou votre apéro en toute tranquillité. Pour agrémenter votre séjour, une boulangerie ambulante passe le matin vers 10h30.
La vue panoramique sur la plaine meusienne est un must.
Une boutique avec des produits régionaux vous ouvre ses porte à partir de 20h.
Les tarifs sont très corrects et le jeune propriétaire Remy vous y accueille avec le sourire.
A recommander sans hésitation.

Mr. Chaumartin and Mrs. Hegarty, are probably both of their marbles, for Camping “de bois joli”, has the most helpful, understanding and friendly person I ever met in France. He is always ready for a little conversation, even when it is in a language that does not look like French.
The environment is breath-taking, and the price for staying is a laugh.
In short: the kind of people, as mentioned above, better look for a place with all the facilities a spoiled person looks and pays for. And so “de bois joli” stays a quiet place for real campers.

Very nice and clean. Be aware you need to arrive before 20:30h. The camping itself is between the trees. There is nothing but a little playground, a toilet building and something that looks like a little shop. The view is awesome. Just come here if you like to have it quiet. It's quite cheap as well.
