We spent an amazing 10 days here with our daughters aged 6 and 10 during our Summer tour of France. Everywhere is set up perfectly with fully serviced pitches allowing exactly the right amount of privacy without shutting you out. There are two large outdoor pools, a large outdoor toddler pool and an indoor, slightly heated pool with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Our daughters tended to live here and even had to be asked to leave by the pool supervisor at closing time! We were told the weather wasn't as good as it usually is, being cloudy in the mornings but the afternoons were beautifully hot and sunny so we found respite in the morning and the pools lovely and cooling during the afternoon. The on-site shop sells everything you would need from day to day and the staff are all English speaking and very friendly. The bar can get too busy at times with few staff but make wonderful cocktails :) We didn't experience the restaurant during our stay but the takeaway was lovely. I fell ill during the course of our stay and the reception staff were brilliant, going over and above what I would expect to try and find an available doctor for me. Laundry facilities were great although a few more machines during peak season would be a bonus. My husband arranged a couple of canoe sessions on the river running alongside the site with our daughters for 40 Euros and the girls jumped into the river for a swim. All in all our perfect caravanning holiday yet and we have already booked to return next year for 3 weeks!

We stay here every time we are in the region. Beautiful site, spotless sanitaires, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, entertainment and food at the bar and a shop for those necessities. Staff have always been very friendly and helpful and it's the perfect location for touring. Pitches are quite private considering the size of the site due to the beautiful flora and fauna separating the camping areas. There's also a lovely garden where you can help yourself to many herbs and fruit. Canoe trips available from the site and when you are finished you just pull the canoe up to the campsite jetty and you're back 'home'. Perfect site - we even saw a deer drinking from the other side of the vezere!

Beautifully tranquil with a fantastic 'family' welcome which includes a drink in their courtyard restaurant. Edwin, their professional chef provides wonderful food on site and Anthony can advise on the local wines. With indoor and outdoor pools, steam room and sauna the site has something for all weathers. Fabulous gardens created over the last 50 years and access to the Vezere river for canoeing create an oasis of environmentally friendly delights. Very large hedged plots mean you have room to enjoy the site in privacy and comfort. Tents, motorhomes, caravans, chalets and holiday homes sit sympathetically side by side. It's a site you want to keep secret but also want others to experience. Our twelfth year of visiting Le Paradis. May we have many more

We enjoyed our stay as we did last year. The site is well set out and we admired the variety of plants you have and wonder how you get them to grow so big!!
The accommodation was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this well maintained campsite. The restaurant was very good and food all freshly prepared and reasonably priced. Our children enjoyed many of the activities on offer and, first the first time whilst we have camped, joined in with the daily activities for children aged 8 and over. The pools were kept very clean and maintained to a high standard. They were surrounded by beautiful plants and we did see many lizards bathing nearby too! At busy periods there could have been more sun beds. Frustratingly, though there were signs asking people not to reserve beds, some did, which left people having to sit on their towels around the pool. The cleaners of the sanitary areas did an amazing job, they thoroughly cleaned showers and toilets until they were sparkling. Our only issue with the camping pitch that we stayed on for three weeks was that it was smaller than others we had stayed on elsewhere meaning we had to park our car in the car park to allow room for both tent and sunshade cover. With it being the busiest period of the year, there were a couple of very large groups who had booked a number of pitches throughout the campsite. Unfortunately one of the groups chose to gather at the pitch next to ours and we're noisy until midnight. On the first night, they were spoken to by the warden who came round on his bike to check for noise, and when we complained after the second night, Ge spoke directly with them which solved the problem. We did feel awkward for a few days afterwards however until things settled. Our family of four had a brilliant holiday at Le Paradis however think that maybe a smaller campsite next year will suit us more.

weather makes for a memorable stay. So too does the friendliness and quality of the facilities. le paradise scores well in both these areas.

This was our third time at Le Paradis: we keep coming back because it is such a fantastic place. The grounds are wonderful, literally like a tropical paradise. The pools are great, busy in high summer but that’s not a complaint! There is an excellent laundromat, handy if if you’re coming from somewhere less well catered for! Facilities are always clean and working. We love staying at Le Paradis: Geert and Ellen run a very tight ship and are always impeccably hospitable and friendly. We hope to come again in 2018.

The restaurant and courtyard are lovely but the menu has been the same for the last two years, albeit the specials are on offer, but they do not vary very much from week to week.. A bit of variety would be appreciated.

The tennis court needs some repairs!!

Used this site as a stop over on our way to Spain, we stayed 3 nights and to be honest I would have been quite happy spending the holiday there as it was so relaxing, unlike the the one in Spain. It's well maintained, has some good facilities, loved the herb garden which you are allowed to pick and use in your cooking, the river runs right behind the camp so if you like fishing you can go fish whilst the wife catches a tan by the pool and you catch nothing by the river. The Village of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère is 5 mins up the road, to be honest not much there but very picturesque, we had a nice meal in the Restaurant there, and on another evening a pleasant drink down by the river.
