My entire family loved staying at Camping I'le des Barrats! The Chalet was perfect - so clean and well maintained as was the entire campground. The landscaping and views are beautiful, the other campers were friendly, but most of all the owners were welcoming, friendly and helpful! Chamonix and its surrounding area was a great place to explore and visit.

Friendly staff and great showers. Perfect location to get the lift up, only 15 minutes walk.

Top class camp site. Clean, well kept grass & hedges, paper and soap in the loos.
A short walk into Chamonix centre along the river.
The white noise of the running river can be heard throughout the night, which we found wonderful.

Nice clean place. Nice, English speaking staff. Can't compare the price. The advantage is, that the inner city is within walking distance, if you don't want to go there othe camping places nearby also look nice and might be cheaper. However the place is open longer then most, for late comers a good spot to start
