Pyrenees Natura Camping site is excellent.
It is extremely well kept and managed by the owners, who also make visitors to the site very welcome, offering assistance where and when required to ensure that all who stay here enjoy their stay in this beautiful part of the Pyrenees.
There are many different nationalities amongst the visitors here, all are made welcome.
Have been coming here for a number of years now and have made good friends with numerous like minded people from different countries.
If you like a quiet and peaceful location with stunning views and opportunities to observe wildlife, both fauna and flora, then this is an excellent location, and worthwhile to spend time here.

A must for every warm hearted nature lover!!!!

We are caucasian with a sun tan. We were dressed informally (even though the guy was even more poorly dressed than we: training pants and t-shirt half out of them; not sure if he was the owner or a security assistant but from the orders I would say he was the owner). We drive a very simple old car. We think that because of racist assumptions we were taken for thiefs or non consumer clients. This has spoiled our last day of hollidays. France, the Office of Tourisme of Val d'Azun, all Offices of Tourism, must act against this."

This is the most wonderful campsite and place I've ever been. We consider this our second home. The owners are wonderful and do anything to make your holiday the best it can be.

So, after some driving in the mountains we arrived at Estaing at 4 p.m. The place was lovely so we decided to stop, have an ice cream, take a walking tour, and then decide wether we would stay for dinner or not. In the road we find a signal that said something like "Snack pour un randonneur"; it was a nice caffe of a beautifull camping named Pyrénées Natura. We parked our old Saxo next to the wall of the caffe and went inside the caffe garden. We check the icecream menu outside and I said to my friend: I need to go to the bathroom, please wait here and then we'll ask for the icecream (since she doesn't speak french). So I went inside the caffe. There were some clients chating friendly. I had to pass through them to the WC, I said "Bonjour, excuse moi", and I went. Someone who must have been the lady owner said "Bonjour madame" and I said "Bonjour" back. I rushed into the bathroom. When I was inside my friend phoned me. I was intrigued but I didn't answer since I was finish in no more than 2 minutes. I went outside of the WC, into the door of the bar, and saw her at the entrance of the garden, some 20 meters away. I called her and she said for me to come near her. Meanwhile a man came to me and asked me if I had been in the WC, in english. I said yes. The man said please go out. I was stuned and said "Est-ce que je peux m'expliqué?" (can I explain myself?). And I said in french that yes, I've been to the WC and now was calling my friend to come and ask for the icecreams. The man asked me if I was going to buy icecreams and I said yes. Then he ordered me again to leave, three times, in a menacing way and phisically very near. I was apalled, never been so humiliated in all my 49 years of living.

In conclusion: there was nothting threatening, rude or shocking about this event, except your own behaviour. Sadly it is of this time to hide behind the screen and ruin things for others. Shame on you.

My and my girl friend are ending our hollidays and returning from Milan to Lisbon by car. Since this is a very long journey we stopped for one day at Tarbes. Looking for relaxing places in the neigbourhood we decided to go to the high mountains, and specifically to Estaing, since it was said was one of the best small villages in France.

I am very sorry to read this sad and false comment of people who know nothing about this campsite or the owners of this campsite. We were sitting on the terrace, enjoying our drinks when two women parked outside of the campsite, a bit hidden after the wall. If they wanted to enjoy the beautiful Estaing, they could have used the safe and spacious parking place on the campsite. Everybody here is welcome for a drink and snack. They were hovering around the campsite. We were also looking at them, wondering what they were doing here.. using the free wifi, not making any contact. So they were not as friendly as they try to claim here. The owner of the campsite asked if he could help them. He got two different answers, in an avoiding way. After a debate, the owner asked if they could leave if they were not customers. A fair ask, I think. We as clients feel very safe knowing someone is keeping everything in order. This woman was disturbing the calm of his campsite. They were definately not planning on consuming anything, they also didn't say: 'can i use the bathroom please? Can I just take some pictures please?' That also happens here, and that's perfectly fine. The owners are very proud of the campsite and beautiful Estaing.

A lovey camp site with stunning views of the mountain. Our hosts Eve' and Virginie have been very helpful. The Pyrennee'Natura is a wonderful place for walks and biking. Quite a quiet site when we visited in September and the weather was changeable and nippy at night. We had some stunningly sunny days. Driving around the area is a must and stopping for a walk in the villages is essential as well as partaking in the coffee and pastrys. Food is available at the site in the bar and is well prepared by Virginie. We highly reccommend this site. Jim and Linda Dixon Sept 2017

Hervé and Virginie are so friendly, polite and warm people. They Always try to get all nationalities in contact. Thanks to them, all campers know eachother and have a great time together.

To call them racist is a horrible thing to do and tells more about your intentions than about this campsite. To be honest, people with your attitude will face the same treatment everywhere. We rather see you go than come.

Two minutes after that, two nice gentlemen on a bike ride stopped here for some refreshment. They were served with a smile. Eventhough they went to the bathroom first, shock!!

Well maintained camping site in a very nice valley. The onwers are not unfriendly but neither likeable.

When I arrived near my friend she told me that he had already asked her, very insistently, what she was doing there in the caffe garden - she said she was waiting for me (in her bad english). The man asked where I was and she said I was inside. The man went inside, didn't saw me since I was in the bathroom, and came outside ordering her to leave.

Every nationality is more than welcome and they will make a sincere effort to make you feel at home.

Reaction to the "racism complaint of Annabla R"
What an outrageous and complete incorrect complaint. As it so happens we where on the terrace of camping Pyrenees Natura drinking our aperitifs and witnessed the whole thing.
For a start you behaved very strange ! The campsite has an open accessible parking for visitors. You parked your car on the road (which is forbidden) and hidden after the wall. You entered as you say the café and went straight to the bathroom even though Virginie (the owner of the campsite) friendly addressed you and asked if she could help you ....you didn't even respond. When you got out of the WC you passed the ice cream area without even looking at it. Meanwhile Hervé (owner of the campsite) had noticed your friend hanging around at the entrance of the campsite. Because he saw it was not someone that stayed on the campsite he went to her and asked kindly if he could help her. She didn't react and started to call.
You both seem to have no intention at all to consume anything and told different stories. So Herve asked you to leave.
First of all it is outrageous to call them racists because all nationalities are more than welcome here at the campsite. Herve and Virginie are very warmhearted welcoming people who do everything possible to make everyone at home and above all to make sure everyone has an awesome vacation. They even organize activities (like a campsite breakfast) to bring people together and getting to know each other which is very imported to them.
Second : it gives us a safe feeling to know that Hervé and Virginie are watching who is entering the campsite or hanging around without any reason. It is a sign of responsibility towards their clients.
Third : everyone is welcome on the campsite, even for a sanitary stop. Elementary politeness is that you address yourself to the owners and asked if you can go to the WC. No one is refused. 2 minutes of you left two bikers entered the campsite. They put their bike INSIDE the campsite and not on the street. They asked if they could use the bathroom and have a drink. They were friendly served and left after 10'. Maybe you should try to do the same and not behaving like everything is yours and ignore people that address you friendly.
Fourth : yes Hervé was dressed in t-shirt and training trousers and you know why ? Because he was working very hard in the garden (to maintain it as the beautiful well kept terrain for his clients) when you arrived...not something you do dressed in a suit !!
Fifth : we are coming to this beautiful campsite already for 19 years so we know what we are talking about. You know nothing about this campsite nor its owners.
Sixth : your reaction is not only outrageous but also typical for the present time : hidden after a computer screen throwing dirt at people who don't deserve this at all !! Maybe you should think about your attitude when entering the property of some else and maintain some manors and basic respect and politeness !!!
And all of the offices of tourism of Val d' Azun can come to us too to hear what we have to say about this !
