There is a beautiful beach at the resort aswell which is ideal for the parents to go aswell as an arcade, tennis courts, football court and a football pitch for you children to enjoy themselves. There are also beautiful nearby towns like hossegor were the food is impeccable ranging from sea foods to pizzas really is top notch, I made many many friends throughout the years I went there as a child really is an amazing place I would recommend people who have a family of 2-4 children to have a look to go here as its a really good place just to get away from it all.

Amazing pine tree canopy keeps the heat off. Great pool and beach.

This is a beautiful campsite. But it has become quite noisy over the years. So much so that you can even hear it daily on the neighbouring campsites. If you can manage to get a pitch far away from the entertainment area you might find some peace but most of those are occupied by mobile homes.

Upon arrival to the park we were shown the camping pitch which had been allocated to us. The pitch was ridiculously small, we could not fit the caravan on, not to mention the awning and car. The staff told us there were no other pitch available for us and that we would have to get our caravan to fit. Eventually it was agreed that the pitch was too small for us and an hour later a larger pitch (only 5 pitches away !!) was offered. Our original booking clearly stated that our caravan was over 7 meters long and that we would be putting an awning up, do you not take these facts into consideration before allocating sites to your customers?
We did however have a lovely week at Le Vieux Port and enjoyed the pools , restaurants and entertainment.
However this was spoilt when our friend had a bicycle stolen from outside their caravan and then on our day of departure when leaving the Park the security barrier came crashing down on the roof of our caravan before we had actually driven through. My husband demanded to see the manager as this was totally unexceptable. Upon first inspection there seemed to be no damage coursed and this was confirmed by a caravan repair garage in England. It did however leave us feeling quite unhappy with our overall visit to your campsite.

I haven't been here for many years now but from my past experiences of when I was about 8-14 this is pretty much all I could remember from my childhood holidays.

One of the best run campsites I've visited. It has all the facilities you'd need, is very close to an amazing beach, and the little town of Vieux Boucau next door is lovely. There you will find an inlet from the sea open into a lake which has beaches around it. Perfect for kids as it is completely calm and away from the roaring Atlantic ocean. If you're into cycling it is brilliant, as there are plenty of cycle paths away from the main roads and through the forests.

Excellent campsite, would gladly recommend to anyone with one caveat.... My family and I love Le Vieux Port, we have stayed there on a few occasions and will stay there again but there is one issue that taints an other wise perfect experience.

Reception, this applies to both during check in and also it's general functionality during a stay. It's not fit for purpose. I find the staff very nice but I think it's a combination of them being under-staffed (during peak check in periods in particular), of them being not trained adequately, and about the correct processes and structures not being in place to support them in their efforts to run an efficient reception.

To highlight the main issues.
1. Check in, this takes hours, the check in process takes 10 -15 minutes per grouping which is an unnecessary length of time, especially considering accommodation locations are already assigned in advance. For starters, why can't personal details of occupants be submitted on line in advance of check in? This alone would accelerate the process considerably
2. Training, on occasion it takes >1 members of staff to check a grouping in further degrading the efficiency
3. Structure/Processes as well as improving the check in process, why isn't there a separate service desk for customers who have already checked in? People who are already residents have to queue amongst the check in chaos even though they may have the most basic of queries (it took us 3 days, 3 visits to reception and literally hours of queuing just to get a sweeping brush)

But again, we LOVE le Vieux Port and will be back. The reception set up is the one black mark.

there is a great water park with a heated pool, outside pools and water slides there is also a lovely pizzeria where they do the best ham and mushroom pizzas aswell as having a great night life with many things going on.

Lovely place. Lovely staff. Clean. Child friendly. Mostly quiet at night. Spa, food and accommodation bit over priced but we had a great time. Recommendation would be to do a shop at the supermarket at the end of the road and eat in your accommodation rather than eating at the restaurants in the park.

The facilities are amazing and staff are great. A fantastic beach and lovely local towns. The on site swimming pools / area is also top notch. Lots to do for children with free daily kids clubs and other bookable activities. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Superb campsite, set in an historic pine forest beside an impressive beach. Excellent water park with slides, kids pools, indoor and outdoor swimming. Fine array of on-site shops and entertainment. Deducted a point for interminable check in process and consistently poor service in the Terrace restaurant

Really nice family friendly camping. Close to the beach. New facilities, staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is good prices are fair but they good expand on the menu a bit.
