Good facilities for the kids, lots to do. On site restaurant is ok but a bit slow service. Our tent pitch was a bit rough and on a slope. The communal facilities were cleaned and maintained regularly.

No doubt serves a great purpose for many but for us, Camping Le Ty Nadan was a little disappointing for an advertised 5* campsite. We booked this through Les Castles as we are pleased with past experiences of the company sites and animation ratings were the highest in the brochure so we thought "great lots of entertainment". We have been to at least 5 other Les Castles sites and Ty Nadan is activity opportunities wise pretty good for teens and active adults, however we expected more for younger children and more quality from the communal facilities. All in all, Le Ty Nadan did not compare favourably to opportunities at other sites we've been to in France
The site has a number of activities as the brochures explain, however travelling with a 5 and 7 year old reduced the opportunities available. All they could use was the pool outdoors (which they enjoyed however owing to the inclement weather during our week it was cold), the indoor pool (standard pool with one curly waterslide) and the bouncy castle. They could hire a pony, or play in a little play area or mini games area with pinball, pool and air hockey in the bar but this was pretty much it. No mini golf, indoor soft play, children pool areas etc which other sites have had.
The communal facilities were average also. Everything was there, however the water pressure in the showers was poor in the swimming pool area, and the main block had you pushed against the wall to get your head wet. There were no plugged areas to shave (lucky I had my own travel plug) and no hot water (warm only). The outdoor pot wash had no lighting so you could not leave the pots until the kids were in bed otherwise it was guess work if they were clean.
The location and cleanliness of the site was good, and in our area near the stream was relatively quiet. We were on a pitch with a large overhanging tree which had its ups and downs. Ups - shade (although didn't need much in our week), and cover from the morning sun so children lay in. Downs - bird poo on top of the new tent (quite a lot on the tent costing £1200). We also had to wait for 2 hours prior to pitching as low hanging branches needed to be removed although our tent would not of fit under them. To be fair though this was accommodated without a problem just delayed the set up which is not ideal after a long drive and 2 children wanting to start a holiday.
Overall, with older children I could see the appeal of the place. For the family and I, we would not return as there are many better sites to suit our needs, some like Grand Matrie in the Morbion area, or Sequoia Parc further south. We were disappointed that there was only 1 entertainment evening all week (a rather poor magician in a small area so we had to stand to watch it) and the rest was karaoke or bingo in the bar. The site is mainly used by Dutch or French therefore entertainment is not in English. Nor was the welcome meeting so we didn't get to know of any local gems from them.
In the welcome pack, it had some points of interest in the local area however much of it was not explored (didnt want to risk parking problems or just a town) apart from a decent Zoo at Pont-Scorff,  where we spent a full day walking around.
This site has recently been sold from Les Castles and I can only imagine that it is because it is below the usual standards of thier name, however this is only my experience and could be affected by the weather and our circumstances.
Maybe when the kids are older we would think of a return, but doubt it as their is much better in France.

Really good campsite, with eueocamp and happy tents too. Has indoor and outdoor pools with slides, a couple of play areas with climbing frames and lots of bookable activities. Restaurant and bar along with takeaway.
