Beautiful cathedral, cannot mis it when you are in Reims. Glass windows from Chagal. Free entry with doors wide open.

Deffinataly worth a visit if your in Reims. Currently being renovated but this doesn't detract from the amazing craftsmanship to create this historical building.

A fantastic cathedral in a beautiful city. Well
worth a visit if you fancy a a relaxed wander round a stunning piece of history. For such a historic site there isn't a lot of information obviously available in English. I'd recommend checking out google for a bit of the background which will explain the missing spires, multiple bullet holes and colossal flying buttress's. Access is free and very casual so we just walked in and nosed around whilst a small service continued - although remember to turn your phone ringer off.

Lots of history, but a lot of it was damaged during the world wars so the original stained glass is either gone or replaced with modern glass. Very clunky structure, little light on the inside. I much prefer Chartres.

Wow beautiful church with so much history. It was a cold day so with no heating inside we were freezing.

UNESCO world heritage site-we are privileged to walk where kings of France have been coronated for centuries. Originally constructed in 496 AD over existing Roman baths. Bring binoculars to see the wonderful stained glass and frescoes up close. You can thank me later for that advice!

Practical notes:
-It may help if you take some brochures from the nearby tourism office to find out more about the history of the cathedral.
-There are tablets which you can bring around the city with you (packaged free with the Reims city pass) which provide visual and audio info in many languages.
-Inside the cathedral a small showcase of the developments of the cathedral has also been put up, with explanations in French, English, and German.
-Souvenir shop is located inside.
-Candles are available for silent prayer at a small contribution fee.

The architecture and interior art are astounding. Personally, I think it would take ages to truly appreciate the magnificence of the entire structure. Visit more than once if you are able to during your stay, and you will definitely find something new to feast your eyes on. Restoration works are ongoing but it is still peaceful inside and visitors are very considerate and keep their volume down. Just take a moment to sit down at any chair and reflect on this wonderful relic of the past.

There are more Notre Dammes in France. This is one of them. Charming as the one in Paris.

Its a very nice and sacred place to be, the history is very entertaining and admiring.. A place where you can find peace and to added the cathedral itself is so worth to visit when u got the chance to see the light show which is so stunning and everything is dark around so you feel solemnity
