We live in the area and have dined at this restaurant a few times. The food is good but the service is disorganized and sometimes rather unpleasant. With access to the inventory of the owner's wine shop next door, the wine list is great. A word of warning if you are not French - we have seen serveral groups of Americans turned away with the claim that the restaurant was full even though the empty tables never did fill up during the evening. I wonder if I would be welcome without my French-speaking husband.

A classic french neighborhood restaurant serving traditional dishes which are labor intensive, wine friendly, and absolutely fantastic. Its in its 4th or 5th generation of family ownership. The wine cellar has accessible, modestly priced wines and properly aged/stored expensive wines with everything in between. We're talking inventory in the tens of thousands with a seating capacity of, say, 60? Welcome to France. One warning, this is not open on weekends. Just weeknights. In fact, this is the restaurant where French chefs eat on their night off. Opens at 7:30 and is packed by 9:00. Safest to call in a reservation. Oh, a bonus: even though this is definitely a locals restaurant, the owner speaks English.

Accueil mitigé !! Mets très moyens !! Service médiocre !! Chef pas en forme et pas en tenue adéquate (veste !! ) !!

comment passer à côté de ces vins exceptionnels et de ces menus qui fleurent bon les plats de notre terroir.quant à l'ambiance totalement parisienne, comment faire mieux.. merci

Un des meilleurs bistrot de Paris, dans le 17ème. Une cave exceptionnelle avec vente au détail aux particuliers. Accueil et qualité irréprochables, esprit maison de famille !!
Après mon déjeuner j'ai même pu acheter la bouteille du château que je cherchais.
