The way the staff treats you at this airport is terrible. They obviously cannot tell time and do not understand that they are not always right. When you come to this airport, if your French, they treat you great. If you speak French, they treat you great. If you don't speak French and your not French, then the people here treat you like ****. Never again will I come to this airport nor will I plan to come to France. Note this is written during the time of me waiting for my rescheduled flight.

Stunning airport, excellent facilities shame it's just so damn confusing with directions moving from Terminal to Terminal even a French man who I was coming with got lost.
Check in and security was excellent at this airport. In the gate area PlayStation 4 and pianos excellent to entertain the little ones shops ( duty free ) massively overpriced wanted €101 euros for perfume which was a lot cheaper back home on the high street

Avoid CDG-1. It's poorly designed. It's cramped with no room to move. Waiting areas at gates are always being worked on. They can't seem to get it right. Terminal 2 is a little better but not by much. I'm French and I avoid this airport as much as I can. Take model on US airports or even Frankfort, London and Prague.

Great infrastructure - well maintained, although hearing French and ONLY French from the personnel throughout the airport (and in Paris in general) it's a big disappointment for a massive international airport - city in Paris. Please adapt with the rest of the world, for your own sake!

One of the best airports I have been to. Out door green smoking area and PS4's located near the terminals. Lounge chairs and several free charging stations and the seats. Plenty of shopping areas as well. I felt like i was walking through a mall. Great experiance!

This airport should be avoided at all costs. It takes more than one hour to connect between flights. A bit chaotic and you have to take a shuttle bus to cover between different areas of the same terminal.
If you love yourself, pay extra and avoid connecting flights at CDG.
On the other hand, I must say that toilets and rest area are not that bad.

Security Guard (Terminal 3 int. arrival first checking point.) ( Tall, Blonde guy, Who has a brown stain on the eyelids)
He is just an ANIMAL, rude, vile, ignorant, no brain, I don't know that how Can I explain this person.. We just checked in from to the Onur air and We tried to get inside. My wife is pregnant and She didn't want to use Metal Detector because is really harmful to baby according to her doctor. We just nicely request him to manual control, I explained him that She is pregnant...I didn’t say don't check her...! He is like a doctor he asked strange questions like '' do you go the market, it is same thing.. it is not harmful. I know ..What is that ? Who you are ? He forced her to pass to the Metal Detector unfortunately with his all disrespect and ugliness. I tried to get his name from his name tag but He hid his name with hand. Why ? because he is just a dishonest and He knows what he made . I asked his name, security company name, etc to his colleagues, I looked for any place, any person.. but there is nothing at the airport, nobody doesn't care about it and no one didn't share information .. even aircraft operator... You can't even complaint .. Imagine.. What kind of airport You are going to use.. Please teach this primitive creature to be a nice person, explain him courtesy, morality, respect...
Sorry about all my bad words that I used for him but believe me he deserves all them. He made our day terrible...Hope this complaint reach his director asap..

Great airport with easy accessible local trains in and out of the Airport at about 10€ per ticket. The Police is also very helpful and at the area 2F if you need them. Local information desks everywhere with friendly and helpful staff.

Nice airport. Staff could be more welcoming and walking distances are a little on the long side of things when carrying luggage but overall it's fine. It all went smoothly for me.

The way the staff treat you here is terrible. I had a flight for a final destination to Detroit. Paris was the connection location from Warsaw. We landed about 10 min late due to foggy weather. When we got off the flight we didn't know what 2E meant because there are so many of them. We asked the staff who checks what terminal you have to go to and he said M and pointed in a direction. We started heading in that direction and there were stairs and a hallway both pointing to the M terminal. The one way we took did not lead to M and so we had to track back and go the other way. Once we were on our way we got to passport security. The departure time for our flight was in 25 mins and they still made us go through a 125+ person line. We have asked many times to different staff members that guide you at the passport control and each one quoted that we would have time. Once we got on the bus to go to the M terminal we had than went twoards the gate as another staff member was telling us that we are to late by about 2-5 minutes. When we went to reschedule new flight, we were lucky enough to get seats together (myself and my dad). Unfortunately, we are both taller than 6"3', so we had exit row seats for leg room. Now we have basic seats, which we would have to cramp into.

CDG is one of the best international airports i have visited in the world so far. I have crossed it five times so far, sometimes in a hurry while sometimes with all the time in the world. In both scenarios i have had a smooth sailing and super happy time. The staff is very helpful and cordial. The airport is well connected to the city via metros, bus, cabs, etc. Inter terminal movement is smooth and hassle free. You will find appropriate directions at all points. Plus i enjoyed the play station setups while waiting for my flight! Loved the experiences here!

Through my own experience:
Great airport, the people were friendly , and getting from poing A to B was easy.
Like any other major world airport, it is crowded so allow yourself extra time.
It has a good selection of food and places to shop.

I'm French and yet this airport is the only one in the world I have ever managed to get lost in. Indication and signs are so poorly implemented. I'm also not too fond of the quality of the service. Paris is such a great place. Our visitors deserve better!

Right so Charles De Gaulle Airport. I took a flight from Switzerland and then landed in Charles de Gaulle to go to a new gate for another plane, here's how it went. Got off the plane walking through a not too crowded modern nice architecture corridor down to border control. At border control there was a line of over 100+ people with only one desk open checking passports. A lady told me to try the automatic passport scanners 15 minutes in (about 1 meter a minute), I tested them putting in my biometric passport only to be told I "needed registration" so that failed completely. I overheard the lady talking to a colleague and she said she had called backup. The only backup that came at first was a guy shouting at the crowd saying "biometric passports please" the crowd answered it didn't work, so he then proceeded to shout "French biometric passports please". Out of the crowd, only one French person came to try it. And it of course, didn't work. Then a lady asked for priority classes to go through a shortcut, I had priority boarding so I was able to go through in minutes, it would have taken an hour at this rate. Thankfully as I was leaving, 4 new desks opened up so I don't feel too bad for the people behind. Then I searched for my terminal " K" it was a labyrinth, had to ask twice where it was and for some reason it wasn't written on some signs. As far as the facilities go, the ceilings are very nice, the architecture is sweet, but the toilet sinks are a baldy designed nightmare. In a "duty free" store they sell a bottle of wine for 32k €, because why not. After all that, finally got to my gate it's pretty nice they have some comfy Sofa's and chairs. Unfortunately in this particular terminal "K" not much is to be found when it comes to food. Overall, 3/5 the strong points being esthetic and nice staff, but badly organized and non logical border control.

Huge Airport with very well maintained infrastructure.
Can be accessed by trains, cars, TGV.
Good connections to Paris city center.
The indications are vast and helpful, making it easy to walk around.
Inside the terminals, the conditions can be improved: more electrical chargers for devices, more eating options etc.
If you are a fan of "heavy" planes, at the end of some terminals, you can see the runways and watch the landings and departures.

Had a fantastic experience here! Such an interesting airport, I love that they have a piano anyone can play while they wait, there's tons to see and lots of shops to explore. Smart that there are donation bins for various organizations and vending machines where you can spend your last few euros before departure. Staff are friendly and seem genuinely excited about your trip (if you are). Never lost my baggage, would recommend this airport!
