My wife and I, along with 5 other couples attended a friend's wedding this summer. They wanted to have a traditional French-style wedding, and this did not disappoint. The grounds are perfectly charming and historical. The chateau was started by an Irish immigrant which explained a lot of the Irish art, and empty antique Guinness bottles.
The room set up for the ceremony was small and intimate, and perfect for the occasion. Cocktail hour in France is more like 2 hours and change. We ate enough foie gras and drank enough red bordeaux to last us through the evening, but it did not stop there. The sit-down dinner continued with red & white wine tastings, more foie gras on salad, and in our duck and potato entree. By the time the music started you could tell the Americans (bowling over full) from the French (up and ready to party.) We all held our own, though and continued into the wee hours. Even my wife, who was pregnant at the time held out for a while until she fell asleep on a couch in the next room. The following morning they held a brunch with more foie gras - which I chose to ignore in favor of some eggs, a little salad, and some much needed coffee. This is a wonderful venue. If any more of my friends chose to get married here, I would gladly return!

Absolutely beautiful setting, whether you're there to relax for a bit or enjoying a wedding, it's a great place to visit
