Jolie château.

The swimming pool and tennis court and wonderful and I love the bikes on hand for borrowing.

The rooms are very pleasant and individual. Ours (26) felt a little dated and the bathroom needs an upgrade - not least because there's a bit of a pong of drains every now and then. The WiFi also didn't work, or worked only intermittently.

Cadre original pour cet hôtel Relais Châteaux. Personnel très aimable et restaurant à la hauteur du lieu. Je recommande sans hésiter.

Beautiful location and excellent service. A wonderfully restored chateau in a cracking spot overlooking the Lot. Excellent food too.

Wonderful castle/chateau. We had one of the towers and it was great. The food was fantastic and service was fabulous!

My family and I were positively thrilled with the attentive service, wonderful food, and overall experience at the Chateau de Mercues. I'm wondering if "raffylily" asked for an a/c in their room - we did and promptly received one that cooled the room perfectly. While the wifi was only available in the lobby, we actually thought this was acceptable since our goal was to extract ourselves from the working world. The view of the Lot River is amazing, the grounds are gorgeous, the room, bed and bathroom were superb, and the castle itself is an experience that puts Chateau de Mercues in a class of it's own. The staff in the wine cellar and distillery were informative and enthusiastic about very nice wines they produce there. I highly recommend Chateau de Mercues for anyone looking for a wonderful experience.

Beautiful

This is a wonderful hotel with magnificent reception rooms that have been expertly restored. I particularly like what they've done in the dining room where the nineteenth century plasterwork takes pride of place and isn't busied by lots of accompanying artwork. Could do, however, with more places to sit and read a book or have a chat. Currently there's only really the bar.

Food is superb. On the pricey side, but as you'd expect from a Michelin starred place. Service was excellent and delightful to taste the chateau's own wines and produce.
