HORRIBLE SERVICE! A wanna be noble man, that has forgotten the nobleness, will be the best way to describe the owner. "We should be feeling privileged to be able to visit him" Nothing at all about how lucky he should be to be able to have us as guests.

Wow, everything and more!
Total tranquility, peace and quiet - listen to the birds, the wind through the trees, rabbits hopping on the gravel drive at night time . . . .walks in the grounds, the frogs by the lake and the little lizards by the Chateau . . . .
We sincerely hope that the Chateau can remain like this - unspoilt.
We will definitely return next year.

The restaurant is overpriced and over cooked. The food reminded me of re-heated takeout meals on a pretty plate.

Definitely an amazing place to stay! The chateau has an unique atmosphere, since it was used many years ago as a family house. The whole house is decorated with (family) paintings and other interesting things. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The chateau is surrounded by a huge territory which consists out of open fields and woods. The food is simply AMAZING. Not only the quality of the food, but also the chef's cooking skills are outstanding. The food is better than you will get on most restaurants in France. I've spend almost a week in France now, every day in a diffident hotel, and this is BY FAR the best place I visited.

But in all fearness, the domain is a wonderful place. beautiful as you could ever expect a French Manor to have. Huge garden. The rooms are nice. The bulding it self is everything you expect from such a place. Be aware!! prices changes in season. High season = higher prices than the 5 stars hotels. we paid 275€/night+15€ for breakfast/per person. His wine list is extremely expensive. 55€ for a basic local winery wine. Other restaurants (of similar quality) in the area has the same wine for 1/3 of that.

This place was magical and our favorite part of our nine-day trip to France. We could have happily spent the whole time here! The family is charming, funny and wonderful company, the pool and tennis courts and grounds such a pleasure to enjoy, the rooms beautifully and authentically furnished, and the meals delicious. It is warm and inviting in every way.

Gorgeous property and can't recommend a stay here highly enough. The service was wonderful, but it's the stunning property that will leave you wanting to stay longer. Campigné is approximately 3km from the château, it is surrounded by farmland and a 5km loop road (great for those who enjoy a morning stroll or run). The facilities include a pool, tennis court, bikes, breakfast and dinner. Take a nice bottle of wine and relax outside on the front lawn watching the sun set. It's hard to beat.
