The best holiday ever. All 49 of us thoroughly enjoyed the rooms the service & especially the food & wine. The staff very accommodating & helpful. I cannot praise Chateau Vigiers enough - fantastic! We shall be back very soon I hope.

If you are looking to enjoy lodging on golf course property, look no further than Le Chateau des Vigiers. This charming hotel is right out of a golf history book. Vintage photos line the halls of this well-worn, yet well-cared for venue. We took many photos of the grounds to send to our golfing friends and family. It's off the well-traveled path, which makes it all the more interesting.

Very nice property - too bad I do not golf. Lovely room.
Big problem with room however - the AC did not work. If fact the management determined that somewhat before we visited the AC was disabled in early September. The control on the wall still appeared to work, but did not. A call to the management at the hotel said there there was nothing they could do about it. This indicates a certain disrespect for guests that they should not be able to have some control of their environment.
When beds are equipped with very nice thick comforters that are integrated to the top sheet, then you need to sleep with no covering or roast under the comforter.
Other than not being able to get a good nights sleep, the hotel was wonderful.

Hi there, we had a wonderful time at Vigiers. I had just had all my stuff stolen out of my car in Bordeaux and everyone was really supportive and kind. I'm pretty sure we had an upgraded room as well, which we appreciated a lot! We had a FANTASTIC dinner at Les Fresques, and particularly enjoyed the wine pairings and interacting with your sommelier. We are both sommeliers as well and it was a lot of fun to try all the different wines, and he even gave us some really unusual stuff which we appreciated!

Lovely location. Staff extremely helpful. Food in the Michelin restaurant was fantastic. Great golf course.

As experienced club golfers, we were looking forward to what is described as a top golf course. Unfortunately, the reality proved the reverse - overpriced, poor course layout, no features, very pretentious atmosphere. We appreciated that the weather had made all courses in the Dordogne very hard and dry, but Les Vigiers was not worth the very high green fees charged. We would not recommend this course to any serious golfers.
