Belles expositions
A good idea to purchase there your ticket to visit the Cathedral Crypt, another fascinating place about 300 yards down from the castle.
Other collections I don't really care for, but you might are about Alaskan Indian and Inuit Tribes, Oceania, and Napoleon paraphernalia.

Great place !
Beautiful surroundings and impressive fortifications. THe inside courtyard lovely and you buy tickets there.
The museum on several levels contains many different collections.
Lower subterranean level displays the foundations from the Lower Roman Empire recycling materials from the High Empire and also from the Morins Gauls time. Fascinating.
Other great collections : Egyptian Art, amazing collection of Greek vases, and fantastic local archaeology. If you are interested in the early history of Northern Gaul, this is a must to visit. (With Bavay, the Berck Museum and other places I have not seen yet...). Some nice Merovingian artefacts too.
