If you want to go shopping seven days a week in Paris, this is the place. You can even find supermarkets selling food on a Sunday ie. Monoprix open on Sundays until 7.30 pm and Marks and Spencer open until even later!

Major RER (commuter trains) station! RER A,B & D services. Make sure you are on the right platform and that it's your train!

Horrible horrible metro station in the middle of Paris, dirty AF and like some sort of dark, dingy dungeon which trains and commuters happen to enter. Once you get above the platforms it turns into a labrynth which is incredibly poorly signposted. Asked for information from a guy at the desk who could tell I was lost with two young children; incredibly unhelpful. Got even better when an extremely rude french lady kicked my suitcase for being in the way on the travelator. In London we would just punch you straight in the face for such behaviour. Thankfully this is not my impression of all french people. None of the lifts on the platforms work either. Fancy shopping mall at the top is almost disgraceful when you contrast with the state of the metro underneath and some of thr deprevation you see. Never wish to go here again and certainly not get stuck here with the kiddies. Verdict = s**thole.

Amazing Metro station. It is the hub of Paris. You can get to any place from this station. You can buy an all day pass (around 27€) which covers the airport too. Superb connectivity.

Caught a train here to the airport and once we took five escalators down to the platform and it was really easy and smooth to figure out - even with luggage. Definitely could tell this is a high traffic area with a lot of shopping options but if you’re hoping to catch the RER to CDG, just keep going down. Pro tip: KEEP YOUR TICKET because you’ll need it to enter CDG once you get off the train at the airport.

Do not take this RER. Me and my boyfriend were traveling from the US to Paris and the Metro line was delayed so we took the RER. Total regret. They pick pocketed my packet pocket but wasn't successful as I felt it and knocked his hand away and immediately zipped all my pockets and jacket tighter. However, my boyfriend fell for this trick of the bending down and touching his bag and distracting him and trapping him in the subway and wouldn't let him off and went into his front pant pocket and took his wallet and then he got off. But they do it in a way where you are trapped and there is no time to go back on the train if you do realize you got robbed. We are going to take taxi/Uber for the rest of the trip and never come back to Paris.

The wonderful woman at the ticket office on Sunday April 30 in the morning was amazing. She totally disproved the notion that service can be rude and . unhelpful in France. She happily sorted out three Navigo month long passes, trimmed the photos where needed and at all times was gracious and friendly. Truly a staff member that reflects well on Paris Metro. We are three grateful Kiwis.
