A fantastic, peaceful place to stay.
Our host, Janik, went out of her way to ensure that we had everything that we needed, and then some. This was a wonderful place to stay to appreciate everything that rural France has to offer, whilst also being close to the Ardèche Gorge, with its many activities and attractions, as well as to small market towns such as Barjac.

La route, plutôt les chemins, rendent la route compliquée et un peu longue. Il faut utiliser Maps plutôt qu'un GPS classique qui va vous perdre. À l'arrivée, le domaine, géré par Janis, la propriétaire, est très calme, et il est bien doté en loisirs. PiscineS, ping-pong baby-foot, et à 15 min du Pont d'Arc
The layout is such that you could stay here as a single, a couple, a family group or more. We were a group of 20 who had the whole place to ourselves, which made for a very special time with friends. The self-contained nature of each of the gîtes means that you aren't falling over other guests all of the time.

Très joli domaine, accueillant et calme!
The rooms are typically French style, which can seem basic, but include everything you need, Comfortable beds, clean rooms and spacious bathrooms with fantastic views across the Ardéchois countryside. The gîte I stayed in had a large kitchen, dining room, lounge and outdoor eating areas. There were also games rooms upstairs.

La situation exceptionnelle à l'écart de toutes nuisances. La vue magnifique sur toute la région. Le silence et le calme. L'accueil simple et chaleureux. La proximité des Georges de l'Ardèche. Un très bon souvenir.
The on-site swimming pool is also a real plus, of course.
The Domaine de l'Astic is a group of gîtes, based around an 18th century farmhouse. The buildings have been wonderfully and sensitively restored and renovated, so that you get the best of both worlds, with the quiet ambiance of ye olde worlde along with all mod cons.
