Great wine bar with regional specialties and wine pairings, both suggested on the menu and offered, if you ask, by your waiter. Informal atmosphere with wood panelling and banquette-style seating. Try the cochonaille if you're in the mood for a cold pork sampler, or the duck variation on the theme. Foie gras offerings include a fetucinni with jambon campagne and foie gras... rich to the last slurp. This visitor-friendly place has several locations around Paris, notably at St. Michel right on the Sienne, this one at Marché St. Honoré, and another at La Madelaine, near Maxim's. The one I least care for is the first, at St. Michel. The rest are all worth a visit, be it for a quick glass of wine, a modest repas at.lunch, or drinks and dinner with friends. Bwing from Panama where we have a canal with some pretty major locks, I like the name too (l'ecluse means "locks").
