We really had a wonderful experience with Europcar albeit in different country this time. From website selection and payment process to pick up and return we have been super pleased with our car. We have been given a 90CV new model Nissan Micra which looked gorgeous to see and economical to drive. To our surprise they gave us Sat Nav included although we were prepared with our google maps. Car came also well equipped with cruise control, usb charging, aux socket and automatic closing side mirrors. Honestly we didn't expect so much equipment for £274 for 12 days in South France. Also the car had low milage and nice/responsive engine acceleration which made it very fun to drive. I don't understand the poor reviews on Europcar Marseille Airport. We have been served promptly because we checked in online to cut times. And the rest was smooth. If you're unhappy with anything, go back to their customer service before you leave and let them know. I'm sure there will be solutions to make everyone happy.
Also drive safely, park resposibly and wash your car before returning it...
On our side we thank Europcar for this pleasant and wonderful service which made our holiday memorable.

what else can I say? Don't ever come to this place or u will waste ur time on debating with those stupid people.

Pick another company. Tried to dupe us in to 'upgrading' for a selection we had pre-booked and then given a car of a lower category (Pulsar when we paid for an SUV) when we declined the upgrade. Lied to us that the Pulsar did belong in SUV category. Later checked online to learn our suspicions were right and they'd downgraded us without reason or notice.

Absolutely appalling Europcar. Dishonest will be the most appropriate word to describe this company. Tried to give me a Dacia Duster when I had paid for a Quasqai or equivalent. The price difference between these two cars are £12k versus £24k.

If you are a tourist, Europcar has an ongoing scam, where they fish extra 5% from you just by doing the EUR-to-USD conversion on their side. I noticed this when I received the final statement. OPT OUT when you sign the contract and demand that they charge you in EUR.

Took €750.00 deposit, and 6 weeks on, still waiting for refund.

The worst car rental service I have ever seen. 2 hours of waiting for a booked car?!?!?? Very unfriendly and slow working employees. Never again. You better choose one of the others at the airport!

The stuffs their are just too dumb. International driver license is NOT accepted because they said "this may be legal in the U.S, but we DONT recognize it here in France"

Waited over an hour to get the car. They just give you the keys and send you off to find the car on your own. Nobody does the walk around with you. The gas gauge did not match the amount marked on the contract. They told me not to worry about that. I returned the car with the same amount as I received it. Now I have $130 of extra charge to my credit card with no explanation. Really the worst service Ican imagine!

Please avoid this company.

The line to rent a car here took forever. I waited an hour. The salespeople are incredibly slow and take an average of 30 minutes per customer. When you are getting off an airplane and tired from your travels, waiting for so long is the last thing you want.

Same as other reviewers, we got extra charges from Europcar that we didn't expected. But we flight from MAR, so that we still had to choose this point to return the car this time. Will avoid going this point.

I find the service to be very good. Quick efficient and helpful, the cars are always spotless and just what you asked for, low mileage and clean.

I've had an excellent experience so far. I rented and paid for the car in advance online. I followed up with an email as my trip drew near to confirm the type and size of the car because it was absolutely necessary I could fit a lot of luggage and four people. They responded quickly with a personal note ensuring I will get what I ordered. They kept their word. The staff was friendly and the process was quick. They did send us off to get the car but invited us to let them know if we saw any damage. There was damage, so the attendant quickly came out and marked the documents indicating the location of the damage. Then we were off. Much simpler than I expected. We are returning the car tomorrow at the airport (different from where we picked up). This was also confirmed. I'm hoping that my return experience is as pleasant as pick up. I'm sorry for all those who had bad experiences, but that has just not been the case for me. So far, I highly recommend this company.
