New trains are nice. Lille station is convenient but that's about it. The city itself is great though :-)

It is truly shocking that if travelling direct from Avignon you are forced to struggle off the train with all your luggage and drag it half a kilometre to passport control...luggage trolleys nowhere to be seen and no help either from staff ... pathetic customer service ...to make mstters worse no information or warning is given in the booking process either. Carrying 2 hand luggage and a 17kg Brompton bike in its bag was not fun and the whole experience of being kettled into the departure area with three or four hundred pasengers was just like Ryanair ! A great shame for what should be a seamless rail journey.

Not the best Eurostar terminal as it doesn't have a business lounge like Paris and London and an extremely limited food offering (only pre-made sandwiches). The good thing is there are plugs on every table.

Train not so confortable for second class, nice bar and choice of meals and beverages.
