Je recommande ce lieu, afin d'expliquer et non de banaliser les fais de guerre, ses enfants. Lieu de mémoire très important, à visiter.

Extremely interesting, totally worth the visit. The fort was bombarded mercilessly in WWI, and the earth still shows it. There are areas nearby that are closed to the public because there is still unexploded ordinance laying around. The fort itself is of course perfectly safe, and the visit provides insight into the life of soldiers in WWI. I found especially shocking the difference between Fort Vaux, built in the late XIX century and used in WWI, and Fort Hackenberg, built just 50 years later, in time for WWII. Make sure to take a jacket!
