Returned last weekend from my second holiday with French Photographic Holidays in France. Again I had a super time and cannot recommend this holiday enough if you are looking for great photographic opportunities and superb food. It is run by an English couple in a hamlet in the heart of the Perigord region in the Dordogne. Paul, the tutor, is exceedingly patient (particularly when I was having computer issues and came to my rescue each time) and points out where the best images can be taken from and will explain his reasons why. Pam, Paul's wife, is definitely the 'hostess with the most-est!' The care and attention she puts in to the meals she creates is amazing and it tastes so good! She will work around dietary issues without the blink of an eyelid and has such a great, caring, attitude. I will definitely return to stay there again as there is so much more Paul can teach me and I cannot resist Pam's food :) It really is like staying with good friends when you stay with them in their home.

Secondly, Paul provides daily digital post-processing opportunities and you are allocated your own dedicated Mac to work on your images as often as you like, so by the end of the week each participant is competent in the use of Bridge, Photoshop and Photoshop RAW.

There are a number of things that make this photography holiday unique....one is the very small group size - no more than four people which means that Paul can provide individual and bespoke photography tuition that fully meets your needs.

Lastly, the uniqueness of this photographic holiday is the warm welcome and wonderful hospitality of Paul and Pam. They are a delight to be around.

Fourthly, Pam is a superb cook (I know I have already said this, but it is worth mentioning again)...a really talented cook..she uses fresh ingredients, some home-grown produce and her own creative recipes to produce beautifully presented meals each day.

If you book up, you won't be disappointed.

I fully recommend this photographic holiday to all beginners, enthusiasts and those wanting to take their photography to another level. You will not be disappointed! I learnt so much during my week, I made new friends, developed my photographic and post-processing skills further and had a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable time exploring the French countryside.

I have just returned from another amazing week with Paul and Pam Edmunds, with their company French Photographic Holidays. Paul took me and the two other guests to some superb places where I took images of a wide range of subjects including, landscapes, architecture, street photography, night-time photography, dawn shots, macro and even model photography......Paul is a superbly talented photographer with oodles of patience and enthusiasm. He is really positive and encouraging and quickly identifies what you can do to improve your photography. Pam is an amazing cook who serves up the most delicious meals which are always presented beautifully. She is attentive to her guests, great company and a fantastic singer (ask her to share some of her songs that she writes and performs from the heart.)
