This was one of the hotels we stayed at with the tour group I was chaperoning of American high school kids. The staff were all extremely friendly, which made up for some of the rustic qualities of the place. There is no elevator, so mostly the kids stayed in the upper floor rooms. The room my wife and I stayed in was a little odd and the door was so secure that we even had a little trouble getting in with the key. The bar on the street level was always a busy place and several of us would have a nightcap before retiring for the evening. Bang for the buck was definitely there, but there is no doubt this is an old European establishment that is not trying to cater to an American audience. The hotel is situated in the middle of a residential area, so you get to see what normal life in Paris is really like. Our overall stay here was a pleasantly memorable one.

My wife and I just had a crazy travel experience from Venice, through a cancelled flight from air France due to a strike, but after arriving here we were welcomed with the best hospitality one could ask for. And that's coming from a person who stays in 4/5 star hotels in USA. The reviews are true, this place is a gem located close to everything Paris has to offer.

Friendly staff. Right next to metro. Clean room but small with no closets. Nice clean bathroom.

Stayed there last year and it was awesome. Everythign was clean and smelled fresh. Super comfy beds and pillows, incredible shower pressure and temperature, and tucked away in a little street. For a place to sleep, wash up, and plan your daily adventures on the free wifi, it was awesome and worth it! Would stay again!

Pretty tight fit, but perfect for what we needed for our group of 3. Near a lot of streets that have a lot of activity. If you go as a couple or as a group of some buddies, it is the ideal place to go.
