Ideally, if you mess up a families summer vacation, I'd expect an establishment of quality to do the most to fix the problem rather than do the minimum, explain the reason for the failure, and provide some degree of compensation. None of this happened without serious pushing and when they realized we were previous guests and spoke and understood French.

We have stayed at the hotel many times for short stays, but this time we booked an apartment in October for the following July/August for travel with our kids (12 and 9) . The apartments are useful as eating out every meal is expensive and unenjoyable. We booked a sea view at a premium, especially as other reviews talk about the noise from the camping site at the back causing sleeping problems.

Au regard de ma note finale,je ne peux rien rajouter d'autre quant à notre satisfaction.
Le seul petit bémol est une appréciation moins généreuse concernant le ménage chambre. rien de méchant mais nous avons trouvé qu'il restait quelques défauts que nous n'attendions pas au regard de l'établissement: nettoyage perfectible, réapprovisionnement du mini-bar pas toujours exhaustif comme prévu ( même si la facture laisse apparaître le remplacement...). Ceci n'influencera pas notre désir de revenir car le personnel à l'accueil et au restaurant a été à la hauteur. Merci à eux tous d'avoir été de vrais professionnels.

And to be frank, the price is more for the elegance than for the food. Pity really, as another good up-market restaurant is what Canet needs.

Accueil très agréable. Vue magnifique. Piscines à bulle très bien. Petit déjeuner en terrasse copieux. Personnel très gentil et très serviable. Nous reviendrons !

Well situated at the slightly less "Blackpool Beach" end of Canet-Plage, and just 2 minutes from the fabulous beach, is this complex of a 4**** hotel with accompanying serviced apartments.

Hôtel très agréable et la vue est magnifique. Les chambres mériteraient d'être un peu plus soignées pour le prix proposé. Les plats du restaurant sont bons, les produits sont frais mais le prix est très élevé par rapport à la quantité servie notamment et le service n'est pas au point.

As we were tired and it was late we took all they had which was two rooms without a connecting door for that night while we figured out what to do. By going to their website, I discovered the suite we had previously stayed in was available for the night and most of the rest of the stay, and eventually they agreed to move us and let us stay. While it was no substitute for the apartment,it was better than the connecting rooms and allowed the children a bed each, which is important when they are different genders.

Generally, the service was very variable, varying from excellent (check out, garden bar), applying petty rules inconsistently (spa) to unacceptably rude (lunch drinks service). In general, the hotel seems to be struggling as it's clientele changes towards the more international family oriented approach it has been trying. It would be worth sending many of the staff on work experience in world-class hotels outside of France so they can see the very stark difference in expectations.

Excellent hotel with people availability, all facilities and Mediterranean restaurant.
Always well rested at "Les flamants Roses" where we always want to return

We were then told they had another apartment and it was being made ready. This was not true and we were told there were no other apartments and all we could have was rooms in the hotel.

On the positive side, the hotel is in a great location, with an amazing beach club directly opposite (luckily run independently of the hotel), and some really nice restaurants. Rooms are generally clean, though the picture windows overlooking the sea view in both suites we stayed in were filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned in months.

Nous étions déjà venu en 2010 et notre séjour avait été très bien et nous avons donc souhaité revenir avec nos enfants nous avons beaucoup apprécié nos soins, la restauration , les chambres spacieuses et très agréables.
L'amabilité du personnel est une chose importante , aussi bien pour la réservation, au restaurant , aux soins, à l'accueil...
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

At a price!

Named after the (practically non-existant) pink flamingoes on the lagoon 2 km away (the Fisherfolk village there is worth visiting), the hotel has an elegant dining room where non-residents can eat.

Ouvert sur la nature, entre les miroitements du soleil sur la mer il offre à toute la famille de pouvoir se détendre et de profiter d'un espace farniente met à disposition une belle piscine agrémentée de transats et protégée des vents pour se reposer. Un environnement d'exception. Personnel au top compétent et souriant accueil très chaleureux, cadre agréable, bref à refaire absolument . Merci à vous .......

We arrived at 10 AM, and were told we'd be called when the apartment was ready. We were never called, and turned up several hours later to find we'd been given a garden view for reasons we never figured out (we had a printout of the booking).
