A grand spectacle of geological features. (These caves were never inhabited.)

Amazing. Guide knew her stuff.
Interactive prehistoric museum afterwards was also a plus

Very impressive cave with a path straight through the middle. Superb closing with light and sound show in the reg chamber.

Very modern support buildings with museum. The caves are impressive - a Land train takes you back to start as cave exit a good distance away. Local restaurant slightly pricey but good. Cafe poor!

Walking from a very hot, bright, summer's day down 180 meters into this cold, damp grotto was just the thing for our holiday in the South of France. It was difficult to get a feeling of perspective so far down in the cavern because it was so enormous ... just the first cavern was big enough to hold a 12 story building and then we walked down stairs to another, lower cavern with even more fantastical formations that take literally thousands of years to form. This portion of the grotto open to the public is only about 20% of the total underground space. It was formed millions of years ago by an underground river flowing through the limestone, which itself was formed by layers of coral reef living and dying at the edge of a prehistoric ocean.

This is a most impressive place and well worth a visit. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Finding a space to park the car during August can be a little time-consuming.

Extremely beautiful cave with thousands of stalagmite and stalactites big and small. The tour is also very informative. The park itself had good atmosphere.
