Let me begin by saying that I travel quite extensively using almost every national rail service, and 9 times out of 10 they work just fine. This, unfortunately, was not one of those experiences.

Les commerçants sont très peu nombreux à l'intérieur.

Everything was my fault. The train being late was my fault. The train leaving early was my fault. Unemployment in Surinam was my fault. It was all my fault, and there was nothing poor Jean-Michel could do about it. My ticket was for €157, and tant pis, I'd have to get another one. FOR A SITUATION THAT WAS CATEGORICALLY NOT MY FAULT!!!

Great layout, has a small machine where you can get 1-3-5 Minute long French stories for free, service is alright, could be better. Mais c'est SNCF quoi

They have renovated the Gare and added another Gare for buses. With easy access to trains and buses

Exacerbated, I walked away, seeking solace in a scathing Google review, so that no one else should have to go through what I did. Jean-Michel, if you're out there, shame on you for representing SNCF like you did. They've never been know for their customer service, but this is a new low. I wish I had more hands, to give you, Jean-Michel, 4 thumbs down and 2 additional smacks to the face. You deserve them.

It will be closed before midnight, you have to pay 50 cents for toilet. The only Starbucks in town is here.

Very well organized. Not too crowded but ça va.

My train (extremely delayed leaving Lyon) arrived after making up 25 minutes of that delay. I went to speak with the SNCF customer service people to rectify the situation (which was their fault to begin with, mind you) like any sane and rational person would. Here is where the situation takes a turn for the dramatic worst.

Peu d'espace pour s'assoir, peu de services, des toilettes payants uniquement en pièce de 50cts... Vive le service public.

Negotiating with the man was impossible. His iron-will to ruin my day was unshakable. So here is where I lost my temper. Blaming a customer for a company's errors, no matter how you cut it, is not how you treat someone giving you their money for your services. Point. Jean-Michel raged and rampaged, threatened to burn down every toy-store in the world around Christmas, excommunicate the Pope, and let vent to every single frustration consuming his miserable, abject existence, at my expense.

cool

The station agent, lets call him Jean-Michel Trou du Balle, Jean-Michel for short, gets off on the wrong foot immediately. His breath could have peeled the paint off of a concrete wall, and in such a confined space, it was overwhelming. As I was recovering my senses from this olfactory shock, I began to explain my situation to this monster of a man.
