Avoid at all cost. We returned the vehicle 10min late and we later found out we were charged for a full extra day, no warning. Upon return of the vehicle the manager attempted to charge us for a ‘cleaning’ charge. We did return the vehicle clean. Ridiculous.

This is the worst car rental office i have ever come across. We arrived 10 minutes prior to their 12 o'clock closing time and the receptionist had already gone for lunch. When getting our car they apologized that they had not been able to clean the car after the last user !! When returning the car they demanded that we cleaned it !!! Fair enough, the car was dirty in the outside as we had driven trough some pools with muddy rain water, but it would easily been hosed off. I have rented a lot of cars , also from hertz, but never had experienced like this -not even close.

I just has to deal with the worst customer experience at this agency in Arles. After 2 days of rental, the woman to whom I rented the car started to yell at us saying that the car was not clean inside and that she would charge us 50 euros. First the car was clean, I took pictures of the interior of the car as a proof. Second her attitude and her speech was unacceptable. I am traveling with 2 American friends who were highly shocked by the tone of her voice. Even if they could not understand what she was saying to me in French, they understood that she was insulting me. There are only 2 rental options in Arles: Hertz and Europcar. Usually I am a loyal customer with Hertz, however I will probably not be inclined to rent a car with them again. Unless they start to evaluate and train their employees on how to speak and deal with their customers!
