I’m a 70 year old Briton who suffered a fall whilst in Paris on July 14th and was admitted to Hospital Cochin
I was in a coma for 3+ days with a fractured skull and brain haemorrhages. Apparently I woke on the fourth day and was moved to a side room
I remember absolutely nothing about the stay until discharge day, but my wife and daughter, who spent hours with me every day, tell me the treatment I received was superb in every respect
I was flown home to South Wales on 22nd July. I had had a hell of a bang on the head and still don’t feel too brilliant, but I do feel fortunate just for waking each morning and my condition continues to improve

We had a visit to the ER and staff were not friendly at all, especially reception and especially when you can't speak French. Doctor was helpful but it is very weird that they don't let any companion inside and patient should be alone in ER, which is weird and unpleasant to the patient and totally unacceptable in North American healthcare. The examination table was wet, by what? We didn't know!, but no one cared to clean up and same scenario for the wheelchair! well! At least they helped us in the middle of the night.

Staff doesn't really care about patients, they simply are not motivated by the saying "patients first". They charge a lot, deliver little.
