Terrible. A total disappointment. My wife booked it as a place to stay on our way back from skiing in the French Alps. The hotel is situated at the bottom of a hillside just south of Chaumont. We took a quick look at the outside of the hotel on our drive down to Meribel and thought it looked great and there were also beautiful walks along the local canal. Fabulous surrounding, but the experience in the hotel was a disappointing as its location was good. The room was bad, but nothing compared to the disgusting food. The bed was uncomfortable and the room uncared for - no soap in the dispenser by the bath and a blind by the Velux window that hung down on one side that had never been realigned. Forgivable maybe but the air of neglect was made worse when the water in the wash-hand basin could not be released as the mechanism for the plug release did not work. I pity the poor chamber maid that had to clean out a basin full of shaving bristles and mouthwash. This was nothing compared to the dreadful supper. My trout terrine was tasteless - most likely cheap cash-and-carry stuff prepared for quick serving. My wife ordered a steak, not with the cheese dressing on the menu, but just with butter. It came with the cheese dressing in any case. When she said that it was not what she had asked for, it was taken away and supposedly rectified. One mouthful was enough. Inedible - our suspicion is that the sauce was washed off and the steak reheated (microwaved maybe?). The meal was the worst experience of food in France. A total disappointment in a beautiful landscape.

Personnel sympathique et accueillant. Le restaurant propose de bon plats. Certaines chambres sont un peu vieillissante.

J'ai mangé ce midi avec des amies, on s'est bien régalé, c'était délicieux, pas cher. Je le recommande
