Fairly old building but lacks the charm I was expecting. Could use a bit of work.

When I arrived my gf and I had a couple large suitcases and one small one. The hotel desk guy didn't even offer to help us carry anything up the stairs (no elevator) which was a bit...odd.

Very nice hotel for Families (for the price). Free wifi.
Gave it 4 stars cause bathroom need renovation.

The location for the price isn't bad though. 7-8 min walk to the promenade.

Très bel hotel, très bien situé. A 5min de la plage et 10min de la gare. Personnel charmant et dévoué. Chambre charmante et propre. Nous avions même un petit réfrigérateur à disposition (très pratique). Je recommande vivement cet hôtel.

The rooms are a bit run down and the bathroom didn't have and kind of shower curtain or glass to block the water from going on the floor so you had to basically crouch to take a shower.

Fantastic place: a beautiful mansion full of character and impeccable grounds, very friendly staff and a lovely breakfast served in the garden, and all within a 10 min walk from the beach! Perfect.

Bad customer service at Hotel Armenonville. We called the morning of our check in to make sure we could check-in after 9 pm and they said that would be no problem. We arrived at 9:30 pm and the guy at the desk couldn't find our reservation. Come to find out they had cancelled it earlier that day. We gave credit card info in advance through a third party site and everything was good to go with confirmation emails until the day of. Apparently they didn't accept the specific credit card we had supplied but neglected to tell us in advance even though they were supposed to. Instead they sent us confirmation emails, etc. And then waited till 3 pm the day of to cancel our reservation because they couldn't run the card, even though they knew we were coming! By now the hotel was full and we didn't have a place to stay at 10:30 pm. We had to hurry and book another hotel and order a taxi to get us there. I asked the hotel desk attendant to order us the most honest taxi guy he knows, and I was hoping they would offer to pay for the taxi. Not only did they not pay for the taxi, when the taxi driver showed up, the meter was already running and was at 10 euros already. I went in and asked the guy to help me explain to the driver that I'm not going to pay that because its dishonest to start the meter before you show up. The hotel guy just disregarded me and said, "Its not my problem, I've done enough for you already!" We had no choice but to take the taxi and we ultimately got double ripped off by armenonville. We were happy we found another place though because armenonville is in a bad part of town far from the center and promenade. I've never had such a bad experience with a hotel in my life and they did nothing to help me out in the situation I was in.
