By choosing the Hotel for our city break in Paris, we were looking by location and price criteria. Hôtel Bac Saint Germain fulfilled both of these criteria. 20-30 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Cathedral of Notherdame. We received more than we expected, as the friendly atmosphere at the hotel made our trip very successful.

Only 1 plug in my room (in the bathroom!), thin walls and ceiling, so no quite night for me!
This hotel seemed old, but not the charming kind. Their online pictures probably date from years ago, which is misleading. This hotel needs renovation! Especially if the owner wants to charge 165€ per night, which is way too much for what you get. I have had much better hotels in Paris for this price.
Positive comments: the location of course the staff was friendly! I pity them for working in such a hotel...

Great central location (obviously). Room was bright and clean (surprisingly so for Paris which has many many dark and dingy hotels). Staff very friendly. Good restaurants on the doorstep. Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent price/quality ratio. Small hotel, good for people that need a quiet clean place to stay for a few nights. Excellent location, quick connection to the subway, within walking distance from most famous venues (Eiffel tower, Museum of Invalides, Arch of Triumph. The day I arrived a very nice woman was at the reception. She guided me on how to get quick to where I wanted to go - for business, for siteseeing and for the airport. I didn't try the breakfast there because I was in a hurry.
I would recommend this hotel to all people staying at Paris.

A nice hotel with pleasant and helpful staff who all spoke English. Good breakfast served on the sixth floor terrace with a view over the rooftops north towards the river. The hotels location is very good, being right next to the Metro line 12 which means you can get anywhere quite quickly. Only a 15/20 minute walk through the rive gauche and over the river to the Louvre. Would happily stay there again!

This is our second time staying at this hotel and it meets our needs perfectly. The location is excellent and our room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It is quiet and close to many cafes and restaurants, bakeries, a convenience store and within walking distance to all the major sites in Paris. We would stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location --- a neighborhood, with local stores and fewer tourists than areas closer to Notre Dame. Breakfast is great, on a rooftop terrace with a view of the Eiffel Tower - which is also the place to go to see it shimmer every hour on the hour. The room, even the larger one, is adequate but for a long stay, a bureau or chest of drawers would be really helpful. The staff is helpful and the price reasonable. I would go back.

Clean, nice and at good location. Very gentle people. Small as most of the Hotels in Paris are. Breakfast is basic.

Very well situated Hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Generous continental breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice in a lovely room at the top of the building overlooking the chimney tops of Paris and the Eiffel Tower. Metro just across the road. Comfortable room. Most enjoyable visit. Thank you.
