The hotel rooms were good, be it a bit noisy. Everything was cleaned. Nothing particular was missing, but is was basic.

The "chicken burger" was a decent filet in a bun, with almost no greens of any kind. Other dishes looked more interesting. Service was (apparently) a 16-year old girl who knew no English but seemed charming enough with the French speakers. Next time I'd go for their buffets!

Great place for breaking up the journey through France, stay a couple of nights and can have a day in Orleans. We will return

We not staying in this hotel again.
Food Poor : Roast chicken which was disgraceful and of appalling quality. It looked as if the chicken had been deep fat fried, which was (over cooked on the outside making the meat tough, near the middle it was pink but appeared to be cooked).
Vegetables (haricot beans) where over cooked, chips very pale and not crispy, we both left a large potion of the meal which is hidden under chicken.
Service poor : We felt that the staff were keen to complete service as soon as possible. On leaving the restaurant we made our comments about the meal to the receptionist, who seemed take little interested in our complaint and made the statement. That the food was cooked outside and reheated in the kitchen, and was standard practice for Campanile hotels.
Building : We were not happy with the state of the room which shows signs of serious damp problems along the skirting boards. We noted the poor condition and maintenance of the building, notably the handrail up the stairs to the first floor which is badly corroded support rusted through and missing. Rotten and peeling paint work on the wooden parts. Constitutes a potential health and safety.
Overcharge :
We paid our bill, and had to ask for a invoice (facture), on receiving the invoice we noted that we had been charged twice for breakfast an overcharge of 21.80€. The receptionist stated he could not make a refund, he would speak to his supervisor to ensure a refund is carried out, at present we have not received any refund or acknowledgement to they mistake, its over a week now since our stay.
As we received refund for our overcharge we contacted the parent company Louvre Hotel who have little interest in our complain.

Hello, terrible hotel. Disgusting service. Maid stole money out of a suitcase. At the reception rude, refusing to call a taxi. Disgusting!
