AVOID - Absolute Rip Off! They get you in the door with an offer for a meal, open a bottle of wine, then tell you the offer isn't available and then demand that you either pay full price, or pay for the overpriced wine and leave. They screw you either way. The boss sits on the terrace with his MAFIA thugs to intimidate you from making too much of a scene. AVOID! AVOID!

The room and bathroom were small for 4 persons. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff is very friendly.

don't book demi-pension. Demi-pension won't even get you a three-course menu at this hotel, as only 24€ per dinner are covered. The cheapest menu starts at 26€. For the quality of food offered (= mediocre to low, and the chef seems to have run out of salt. Or any kind of seasoning for that matter), this seems a bit steep. You'll get much better deals at the restaurant accross the street and won't be forced to eat the same stuff day after day (as the menu never changes. So much for fresh produce). Also, prices for drinks are ridiculous. The local beer is over €9 (per glass that is. Not per keg..!). The same goes for the mini bar (oh, in case you thought the tea tray was complimentary... It's not.)
To cut a rather long story short, we ended up with a massive bill at the end of our stay despite having booked demi-pension with an eye on our budget.
Otherwise, the staff are friendly and approachable (and ever so slightly embarrassed by the hotel's policies), it's clean (if ever so slightly mouldy in the bathroom - no shower curtains...) and right by Calvi's impressive old town.

Excellent for a 2-star with good room size and facilities. Helpful staff. WiFi included but didn't reach 4th floor. Needs hooks in bathroom for hanging kit, towels, etc. Restaurant okay.
