Visited the restaurant for lunch, great food, reasonable prices and friendly and professional service.

Double check location for overnight stay. We had our heart set on staying on the beaches of Normandy near the mulberrys left from the war. Per a travel book, they suggested Hotel de la Marine. We googled it and booked it for 3 nights in August. The night prior,,,while in Mt. St, Michel, we mapped it to find there is more than one hotel in France named, Hotel de la Marine. We realized we booked the one in Barneville Carteret and the one we really wanted was in Arromanches. We contacted the hotel in Barneville and they said our rooms were not refundable. Although we understand, we were so disappointed as we were not only out $1200.00, but the Arromanches hotel had no openings. We found a bed and breakfast 5 mins from Arromanches which is close to the location we needed in order to see all we wanted to see in the Normandy area with the time left we had on our vacation. I only hope the Barneville hotel did not also book our rooms and get additional payment for the rooms we could not use. Lesson learned!

Great location right on the beach with beautiful views. Our cosy corner room had two windows and a very compact split bathroom. The restaurant is good, with a good variety on offer. Front desk staff was friendly. The hotel only has a few of its own parking spots tucked in behind but parking in the municipal lot out front is free overnight and daytime parking is free along the city streets.

Worth every Penny--or should I say Euro!!

Very good food and service in the restaurant until the end of the meal - when we spent over half an hour trying to get attention to order a digestif. We felt abandoned and gave up in the end. We actually had to physically get up and leave to be noticed. Really frustrating that an evening can be spoiled by such a lack of attention at the end, even more frustrating as we're also hotel residents.

Had ordered a "turbot", fish was nice sauce too, but asparagues were overkooked. Also portions were very small. Feels like a tourist trap. Servant didn't respond when trying to complain.

Decent if pricy lunch in this tourist hotspot. Lovely view over the bay, with the D-day caissons clearly visible at low tide.

We stayed on the ocean side--right on the west ocean side corner--3rd floor.
Spectacular! 180 ocean view--the sound of the ocean was nice to fall asleep to. My son and I stayed 3/31/10-4/2/10. Great room!
we spent about $150 per night-two twin beds.
Coming here was a dream come true for me. to travel to France--drink wine--and enjoy Sole Meuniere.
