Our family of three (couple+4 year old) stayed at the Hotel de la Tour en route to the Vendee. We were travelling on my husband's birthday and I had asked in advance by email with my broken French if they could manage a bottle of something in the room on our arrival. They were positively wonderful not only in their response but what a beautiful display of champagne and chocolates and even a bottle of juice for our son. They made reservations for us at a local restaurant. The hotel is well maintained - clean - and peace of mind that you are safe and looked after. Even breakfast had the loveliest arrangement of cheese, etc. for traditional petit dejeuner and fresh squeezed orange juice. They certainly have an attention to detail and pride in their service. If I did have any reservations, it would only be the decor and the pillows - neither of which a showstopper and I even feel guilty mentioning it. Place your pin on the map by the downstairs reception - that and the goldfish are a really nice touch too!

Hotel is designed in old style. Very clean although the furniture is old. Breakfast is good in taste and size.
Staff speaks little English.

Hôtel confortable au calme . Très bon accueil. Un bon petit déjeuner bien copieux.
