If you want a simple yet comfortable place to stay in Grenoble, I would probably recommend this one. The place does not have airconditioning unit but they have fans and its not hot inside the rooms. Close to the city center, public transportation and restaurants. The room we stayed in is small, but for travellers I think the size of the room does not matter since you will only be staying in the evening after seeing the city.

Old hotel, when I shower, the room downstairs leaks. Hairdryer without hose, so u hv to position your head towards the outlet...No minibar. Not air conditioned, but a fan. get a more proper hotel elsewhere with this price!
