This budget hotel is what the name says it is . The reception area is functional , the staff we met were bi-lingual and friendly , there was a bar available and a limited menu of fare . Breakfast is extra at €9.90 , this was petite dejeuner style . Our room overlooked a busy street outside but noise was not a problem as apart from the double glazed windows , secondary glazing was also fitted , to counter this insulation , an air conditioning unit was in the room which did make a slight background noise but this was infinitely better than traffic disturbance. Our bed had a mattress topper and was extremely comfortable , the remainder of furniture was Spartan , a small table surface and one small plastic chair . We take a small travel kettle as most hotels in France do not supply them , this meant that we could enjoy a hot drink when required . The bathroom was a wet room , the toilet roll holder was close to the shower so we had to move the roll when showering . The supplied towels were small and made drying yourself after a shower was not easy . The bathroom sink was functional but because the oversink mirror had back lighting , hair brushing and using the supplied hair dryer was more guesswork than observed due to the dazzle effect from the backlighting , turn it off and the other ceiling light wasn't sufficient to illuminate the room . Two small packed plastic tumblers were supplied but most of these leaked so recommend borrowing glasses from the bar or buying 40 UK pence glasses from the supermarket across the road . There was a TV in the room but we weren't there to watch TV but did use it a couple of times to watch the news . The lift to upper floors was only big enough for two with average luggage but it didn't seem to be busy so it was fine . The hotel is within easy walking distance of the fantastic metro and bus system to reach uptown or the Stade Gerland. I would definitely stay again at this hotel and can say that I enjoyed my stay .

Okay place to stay...check the room heater if it works before checking in..because mine did not work

Good basic accommodation,decent shower,helpful staff and reasonable rates. Within easy walking distance of Place Bellecour.
