This hotel was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. In fact, we were amazed at the service we received. Their restaurant is superb. We enjoyed dinner there twice and well as breakfast every morning. The hotel and restaurant staff were all so kind and courteous and helpful. And being a few steps away from the Abbey made this an ideal central location to spend our 3 1/2 days in the Loire River area. Chinon is 20 minutes away. Tours is about 45 minutes away.

Very nice place, friendly but professional. The restaurant is close to perfect for the level and the personal is always attentive to any request.
However, try to avoid second floor rooms a bit noisy.

Great place to visit the Abbey of Fontenvraud and surroundings. The hotel is great for one night stop or a weekend or a base camp to explore the region. Rooms are clean and have been renovated and still the hotel keeps style. The swimming pool is the required asset to relax after walking or biking around and a must if you go with kids. The restaurant is super good: enjoy the plate de jours slowly and ask for a good/excellent local wine

Stayed here as part of an Inntravel walking tour. Hotel staff are very friendly. Room and bathroom are nice. Being in a 17th century building there is no lift. The weather in late May hit 90, so it was warm without air conditioning. Just open the window and turn on the fan. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good and dinner in the restaurant was good.

A lovely hotel in a great location. The restaurant was very good and there are other places to eat nearby for variety.
The staff were always helpful and we would stay again if we go back to that area.

We had a late check in, the counter offered friendly and warm regards! Great place to stay, it make you feel away from all noise and chaos.

As usual your reception was efficient and friendly. Our room was excellent and a nice touch was that a fan had been put in the room as the weather was so hot. We had two very nice evening meals.
