Extérieur sympathique mais la déco est hélas d'inspiration franchement contemporaine, ce qui est une hérésie à deux pas du Château et dans un environnement historique préservé. De plus ce mobilier contemporain fait cheap et n'est pas à la hauteur de cette catégorie d'hôtel, que ce soit les pauvres luminaires fatigués ou les toiles qui ne ressemblent à rien et d'un goût douteux. On se croirait à Casa ou la Foirfouille. Le Pavillon des Lys aurait largement gagné à avoir une décoration intérieure au moins florale si ce n'est Renaissance. J'ai regretté mon choix car il y a des hôtels bien mieux meublés dans les environs. Dommage car il est bien situé et le personnel est serviable.

Nicely appointed in the heart of Amboise. Easy walk to get to all the local shopping and dining. Villa rooms are quite small but well appointed. Internet never worked for me here and not sure why even though they claim they have wifi.

Absolutely brilliant! Room was huge and we had a large terrace as well. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was the best I've had in France. Can't say enough good things.

Our stay has been very pleasant. Closeness to centre and castle - both with pleasant atmosphere. Hotel is arranged in the interesting France style.

The hotel is very close to everything , since the town itself is not very big. 2 minutes walk to the restaurants, the chateau. Leonardo' da Vinci's house is about 10 min. walk. There is the scent of lilies in the hotel , it will remind me of the hotel every time I smell it. A small bottle of sparkling wine was waiting for us in our room when we arrived. We used the hotel's living room in the evenings to read , it felt like home. The breakfast is very expensive, we went to the town square instead and tried the different pastries and hot chocolate . We rented bikes in town , also about 10 min walk from the hotel and biked to a different chateau everyday. It takes about 1 -1and a half hour to get to a chateau , the terrain is flat and very pleasant, going through forests or next to the Loire , or through villages. It is a very nice place to stay.
