The festival was not the event for culture of comic. It was the exhibition of Korean political propaganda, Sex Slaves. I know one Japanese Spread the word "
Sex Slaves" He was the communist and wanted to Japanese images down. At the time even Korean did not mention about these things, they did not know. I am sure you can understad the meaning.
Comic should be more fun. They shoud not be used for spreading lies and propaganda.

I wish this was more International and friendly towards newbies in the business, but it is mostly a nostalgia trip for people who like Gaston and the like...

The bus-system is a catrastophe, you might think they have learnt over the last 40 years.

There is no international desk or some kind of meetingplace. You have to talk to random people at some restaurant if you want connections.

It feels more like a tourist trap than an actual comics convention. It is set on a date when it is not really warm enough to draw outside. That means you won't see too many people drawing here!

That was the worst festival I have ever been. It's was not a festival for comics and anime. Indeed it was a place of the Korean propaganda. Angouleme should never open any festival as long as the pro-Korean coordinator, Nicolas Ninet keep receiving the "special" service from Korean.

The greatest european Comic Books festival, where you can enjoy the stands of the publishers, thematic panels, exhibitions, live events and the excellent food and mood of this small town which becomes the center of the european comics universe for a week.

Everything is expensive and in french. EVERYTHING is in french. Signs, catalogs, even the webste is not even in english. So much for an "International" festival.

The spaces for the comic artists is small, and the Amateur-section is cut off fom the rest. I give it 2 stars, because you can actually meet french comic book artists here.
