On street parking nearby. Great place to relax and recover from hectic sightseeing. Was delightfully un-crowded when we visited on a weekday in August. Play equipment for the kids. There are places where you ARE allowed to sit on the grass, and a café where you can get a brochure in English describing the history of the gardens. Ice creams. Drinks. Snacks, while not haute cuisine, easily beat the limp chips and saggy burgers available from this sort of outlet in England. A coffee will set you back only €1.20 so people watching in the park is better value than in town! It goes without saying that the coffee is good. For the horticulturaly inclined, the brochure says that free tours are available by arrangement in advance, which might be the only way of seeing some of the collection which seems to be off-limits to mere mortals. I imagine that contact details for this are probably available on the web.

Good botanical gardens. On the route of the F1 bus or a 20 minute walk from the river

A lovely place in the suburbs. Relaxing and peaceful amongst the hustle and bustle of the city.
The gardens are of the highest standard and worth a visit any time.

The gardens are free to enter, beautiful flowers and plants, there was a children's play area with a small cafe nearby, there seemed to be cut flowers there for taking away, fantastic colours in the autumn
