What makes La Coquillade truly exceptional in our eyes is not just the bricks and mortar, but also the friendliness and professionalism of the staff... this is 5 star luxury but with a smile and without pretentious attitudes.

The “Bistro dans les vignes” is superb and you should ask for one of the corner tables that has the best views. The italian restaurant is perfect for kids with its choice of pizza and pasta.

La Coquillade is absolutely amazing! (we went early July 2015)

What makes La Coquillade special is it’s wonderful setting (an old hamlet which has been restored and sits on top of a hill overlooking the Lubéron park) and its staff. They are all utterly professional but more importantly very friendly and down to earth.

Beautiful setting and attentive staff. Not the best value but very nice.

The original hamlet that forms the basis for La Coquillade gives the hotel a very charming character within stunning surroundings, while the stylish and very well appointed rooms are very spacious and all have their own dedicated outdoor areas. Not only did we appreciate the styling of our Chambre Prestige but the room was equally well designed from a practical point of view, with form and function scoring high marks.

Great rooms. Decoration of the restaurant was horrible though. Excellent food

The hotel features several dining options, but my favourite spot has to be 'Le Jardin dans les Vignes' which allows guests to enjoy the 'Retour du Marché' menu - accompanied by the omnipresent Aureto wines - within a wonderful setting surrounded by lavender fields, hills and the sound of crickets... sunsets don't get much better really.

Truly unbelievable atmosphere nestled in an expansive vineyard region. The rooms are amazing, and the staff is professional, warm and went out of their way to please us. The food was fantastic, just make sure to reserve a table in advance for dinner. We only spent a few days but could've spent a week. Love this place, highly recommend!

What we really liked about La Coquillade was that you could have all the luxury of bigger estates (3 restaurants including a Michelin star one, a big pool, room service, bike rentals…) with the smaller touches of a normal size hotel.

The pools are excellent and so are the sun loungers and the pool-side bar. Even though La Coquillade Village has recently undergone a massive expansion and now boasts 22 rooms, 41 suites and an expansive top-class Spa, the hotel and the domain never felt crowded thanks to the three restaurants, many lounge areas and plentiful sun loungers spread out around both pools. Tranquility and luxury still go hand in hand even after the expansion. Admittedly we do prefer the charm of the original hamlet when compared to the new 'wing', so we would probably rather opt to stay in the original accommodation but that is based purely on personal taste.
