I had an amazing three course meal here with a friend. We did not have reservations, but we got there right when the restaurant opened and so we got a table even if they were technically full. The staff was super friendly, and the food was healthy and delicious!

While the staff is friendly, the food did not match the reviews. I cannot say there was much flavor in the entree or plat...the veal sweetbreads were okay but the gazpacho did not have any flavor. The dessert, chocolate cake, tasted like it had been frozen. Given the area that this place is in, and the majority of the reviews being in English, I could only guess that most people are not familiar with the local cuisine or gastronomy scene in Lyon. The food took a long time as well, but when walking back to use the restroom I saw the kitchen. It seemed rather slow and clean, which would make me guess that most of the items are already prepared ahead of time...and not in the best of ways.

Un accueil exemplaire, une cuisine raffinée et variée, un cadre très agréable. J'accueillais des amis brésiliens gastronomes et ce fût une excellente façon de leur faire découvrir la cuisine française, ils ont adoré! Et chapeau à la maîtresse de maison qui s'occupe de tout avec une sacrée efficacité sans jamais perdre son sourire et sa bienveillance. Je recommande. (NB: Prévoir un budget vin car la carte est un peu chère)

A small restaurant, where the owner greets you with a smile. She also waits on the tables and is happy to help you with the menu if your French is not up to par. The food was delicious and moderately priced. Would highly recommend!

Cela revient souvent mais c est vrai que le ou les sourires font plaisir en entrant, on sent qu on aime les gens et les plats qui sont servis

Tarte au chocolat un ton en dessous mais excellente adresse à côté de la rue merciere et ses déceptions

A essayer absolument !!
La cuisine est savoureuse, avec des produits frais et locaux parfaitement cuisinés et des portions raisonnables (pas d'assiette gargantuesque, mais largement assez pour être rassasié). La carte est restreinte, garantie de la fabrication maison des plats, et change très régulièrement. Les menus sont très avantageux (28 € pour entrée + plat + dessert, sachant que les plats sont entre 20 et 26 €).
La patronne est adorable, extrêmement polie et souriante, et très arrangeante !
Désormais je n'ai plus d'hésitation quand j'ai envie d'un bon repas, je vais chez Marie et je ne suis jamais déçue !

Nice place with great food. Family-friendly, the server's (toddler) daughter is sometimes there if you go early. Great French food.

Wonderful food in a relaxed environment. The staff and owner are incredibly nice and take they're time with non-French speakers like myself. Had a combined meal of appetizer (olive oil-soaked, lightly cooked salmon), main (fillet minion), and desert (chocolate mousse and berry sorbet) for €29. I also had the lamb special. The plating was great and flavors solid, the fillet minion was a little dry/overcooked but the lamb was perfect.
